Chapter 44: Mistress

"Stupid."

Binitawan niya ang salitang ito habang nakatingin sa akin.

"He really looks like he wants to die, Mistress," Mr. Kaneko commented with a smirk, removing his mask.

"Urusai!" Clara snapped at Mr. Kaneko, giving him a glare.

"You will kill him? I can kill him for you," Ms. Kaneko said, surprising me.

She was completely different from the Mizzy I knew as Clara's friend.

"Mistress, I'm sorry!" Hannah apologized again.

"This is my last warning, don't ever make me mad again or else I will kill all of your clan," Clara threatened, removing the dagger pointed at the man's neck.

"Thank you, Mistress!"

"Get out of here." She said calmly.

Hannah helped the bleeding man stand and supported him out.

"Clara..." I was about to approach Clara but she suddenly pointed the dagger at me, causing me to halt.

"I told you, don't find me," she sternly said.

"But I promised—"

"I don't fucking care about your promise! You can't save me anymore!" she yelled, glaring at me sharply.

"I will! Hindi ka ganito! Hindi ka bagay sa lugar na ito!" I yelled back.

"I can't leave this place anymore, Ked! It's too late! You can't save me because I'm bound to this place... I'm not Maria Clara Vinzella-Villareal that you all know—I am now, Maria Clara Aoki. The heir of the Aoki clan, a powerful family in Japan."

I couldn't say anything, I didn't know what to say.

"That's the reason why I hate you being with her, you can't be together because she has a huge responsibility to bear. She's our leader, our Mistress, and our Queen," Mr. Kaneko interjected, causing me to fumble with my words even more.

I took a deep breath. "Can you at least explain to me what really happened? Who are you? What kind of organization are you handling?"

"We can't, it's forbidden," Mizziella Kaneko quickly replied.

"Do I have to join your organization to know everything I want to know?"

Clara let go of the dagger she was holding. "That's something you should never do!"

"I want to know everything, Clara! I want to! I want to make up for everything! I want you to come back to me," I pleaded.

Clara wiped her face in frustration. "They are dangerous, Ked. I don't even trust my own family, only Haru and Sora."

Agad akong hinila ni Mizziela Kaneko at isinuot ulit sa akin ang inalis kong maskara.

"Oh! Who's this Yamamoto guy?" The guy asked.

Looks like he's the leader of the clan mentioned by Mizziella Kaneko, judging by his posture and conversation with Clara.

"Well, not anymore because he will serve me from now on," Mizzy answered disrespectfully.

"Another toy again?" The guy chuckled and approached Clara.
