"How is he" I asked bailey walking out of surgery
"He's ok he just needs bed rest but he'll be fine" she said holding my shoulder
"How's Addie" I asked Callie
"She has a minor broken leg but other than that just bruises and cuts"
"Thank you so much both of you" I said sitting back down
"You should both go on that date get your mind off this" Callie said pushing me slightly
"Yea ok can you look after them please and don't give sam too much morphine I don't want to come back to one of my best friends saying that he loves me"
"Cmon Derek lets go" Meredith said dragging me away.
We got ready and got into the car
"Meredith you do know I love you right?" I said parking the car
"Derek of course I know you are my knight in shining whatever remember" she said putting Mer hand in mine
"Yea your right I'm jut afraid that I might lose someone else in my life" I said holding her face
"You won't i promise" she said kissing me softly.
We had dinner but on our way out Meredith walked in front and I saw a car lose control and come towards Meredith
"MEREDITH WATCH OUT!!!!" I shouted running over to her pushing her out the way but as she hit the ground I fell a large metal object hit me and that was the last thing I remember.

"Derek wake up honey, someone call 911" she said shouting
"We already did" someone shouted
"M....m....Meredith honey did you see that I got hit by a car but why am I lying on the ground I feel fine" I said getting up
"Derek lie down your spine might have damage"
"Meredith I was hit on my side I feel fine" I got up and sat on the bench near as the ambulance came and took me and the driver to the hospital it turns out the driver was having a seizure.
"Derek?" Bailey said
"Hey doctor Bailey how are you"
"Weren't you meant to be on a date"
"Yea but the guy that just came in had a seizure lost control and almost hit Meredith with a car but I pushed her out the way and the car hit me but I'm fine I swear."
"Yea you say that but just wait" Bailey said pushing me into a trauma room.
"You really are her hero Derek Sheperd" she said smiling
