I sat and smiled at her then we started to hear small noises coming from Derek
"M..m...Mer" he said softly
"Hey you are you ok" I asked
"Yea I'm good.....hey Amy"
"Hey big brother I'm gonna do a quick test ok" Amy said
"Ok"
"What year is it?"
"2015"
"What's your wife's name?"
"Meredith Shepherd"
"How many kids do you have?"
"2 and one on the way"
"Ok thanks Derek I'll talk to you soon" she said winking at me then walking away
DEREKS POV
I looked over and I saw Meredith with tears in his eyes
"Mer what's wrong" I asked
"Nothing I'm just so glad your back" she replied getting up onto the bed next to me and laying her head on my chest
"I'm so glad I'm back too......how's the baby"
"The baby's good he's definitely your kid he's kicking about in there he's got so much energy"
"When's your next OB appointment?"
"In precisely 15 minutes"
"What?"
"I thought you'd still be in surgery so I scheduled one and we find out the sex today"
"Hold on so you are going to find out the sex of our baby while I'm lying here not seeing anything"
"Yep but you'll be there"
"How?"
"Derek it's 2015 we have FaceTime we really need to get you noggin back to remembering stuff"
"Well at least my noggin remembers how to do this" I said pulling her in for a kiss but she pulled away
"Better get going I'll call you when I get there"
