I heard my phone go off. I looked around for it then I realised it was right in front of me it said Wifey
"Hey" she said
"Hey are you in the exam room" I replied
"Yea we're about to see the scan"
"Ok can't wait final predictions what do you think"
"Boy what about you"
"I think girl I don't know why"
"Ok Meredith shall we get started" Addison said walking in (she's working on a case for a while)
"Yep we are" she replied
"We?"
Meredith turned round the phone to reveal that I was practically there as well
"Hello addison"
"Hello Derek"
"So let's have a look at your baby......are we finding out the gender" she asked
"Yes we both said at the exact same time
"Well I'm happy to tell you, you have a perfectly healthy little girl congratulations"
At that moment I realised that the piece that was missing after Mark died was back again. I thought that Meredith would never want another kid but she looked just as happy
"Derek I need to hang up now see you in 5 and I'll bring the kids"
5 MINUTES LATER
"Hey look it's daddy" Meredith walking in with the kids
"Daddy" Zola said hopping up next to me
"Daddy" Bailey said still in Meredith's arms
"Hey guys guess what we have something to tell you" Mer said sitting down next to me with Bailey
"Do you want to know if your having a brother or a sister" I asked
"Yea!!" They both said
"Well your having a baby sister"
"Woohoo yea" Zola said and Bailey sat in confusion about what was going on
4 HOURS LATER
"There finally down in the nursery" she said walking in exhausted and sitting down in the chair
"What do you think your doing" I said
"What do you mean"
"Come on I know you can't sleep when I'm not in bed I've witnessed this" I said patting the space next to me and she jumped up next to me and face away while I pulled her in close
"What do you think would have happened if I had never met you in the bar" she said falling asleep and I realised that Meredith had fell asleep after saying this and it did get me thinking what if I had never met Meredith in the bar where would I be now or in the biggest case who would I be with.......
