Birthday (part 3)

I watched Meredith closely because I was planning something but Amy spotted me
"I know what your doing" she said quietly
"I don't know what your talking about" i replied
"I know what your doing you should do it it's going to be hilarious I'll watch the kids but wait until she's finished putting her sun screen on" she said again
"Ok"
A few minutes later I walked up behind Meredith who was talking to Mark I grabbed her picked her up and ran to the water
"NO DEREK PUT ME DOWN!!" She said giggling while squirming around in my embrace
"Nope your going in the water" I said almost there
when we got to the water I walked in a bit and threw her in then ran away tripping in the sand and twisting my ankle
"Oww" I said mid laugh
"Karma" Meredith said kicking me softly then helping me up and hugging me
"WET HUGS" she said she did it thinking I would hate it but I cuddled in more
"How's your ankle sweetie?" She asked
"Sore really sore" I said
"Let's get you sitting" she said sitting me down and handing me Mark
"Hey little guy" I said lying back and lifting him in the air
"Hey dada can you do that to me" Bailey asked
"Yea sure Amy can you take Mark" I asked handing Mark to Amy and lifting Bailey up in air and he giggled so I pulled him into my chest tickling his sides
"Daddy stop I want to go build a castle with Zo" he said mid laugh
"Ok but do you think it's money's turn" I asked him and he nodded his head and Amy sat and laughed
"This is going to end badly" she said
"What are you talking about over there" Meredith asked
"Mer come over here" I said as she started walking over and when she got next to me I pulled her down and started tickling her sides
"Right ok Derek I surrender"
After i stopped tickling her she sat in between my legs and lay back on my chest and watched Bailey, Zola and Amy who was helping them build a sand castle
"There getting so big" she said cuddling in more
"Yea there going to be going off to college before we know it and I don't want to miss any of it"
"Yea me neither"
"Just think we're going to be old and grey and insane before we know it"
"Yea but we'll be old, grey and insane together" I said pulling her in closer
"Sure will sweetie"
10:30PM
When we got in bed me and Meredith talked for a bit and I had an idea so I move over to her side of the bed and onto the floor and got on one knee
"Meredith Grey-Sheperd will you renew our vows"
"Yes I will" she said pulling me in for a hug and I cuddled into her and eventually fell asleep
