There all grown up

"So your all grown up now, no longer residents, your no longer bottom of the surgical food chain, you will have your own interns treat them with respect and teach them well. I know some of you have grown up whereas some of you haven't so you need to step up and take point we'll still be here but not to hold your hand or help you put in a IV that's your job now so good luck" I said keeping my interns well now residents in line while Meredith said the same. After my interns went to pick up their interns I sat behind the nurses station and watched them make a fool of them selves. One of Finns interns came to ask me a question and I answered it but afterwords I decided to mention something else.
"By the way you kind of have the dud resident did you know he gave half the nurses syphilis so I would watch" I said leaning over and whispering
"Thank you Dr Sheperd" she replied
"No problem"
As I said that I smelled Meredith coming my way and it didn't help there was a reflector thing in the corner a few feet away that I could see her through
"Hello Meredith how are you sneaking up on me like that" I said all spy-ish
"What your no fun how did you know I was there" she said as I turned round patting my knee and she sat on it cuddling into my shoulder in the abandoned station and corridor
"It's my super James Bond skills and I could recognise the smell of your hair everywhere and also I saw you in the reflector thing" I said laughing
"Well I bet you didn't see this coming" she said then quickly slapped my face lightly then ran away and I ran after her.
We got to the old intern hang out and Meredith tripped and almost fell over but I managed to catch her
"See super James Bond skills" I said helping her sit on the bed
"Well then if your James Bond then can you wisk me away to an exotic island called home" she said playing along
"Nah maybe another time" I said getting up then walking a few steps. I turned around to see the confused look on her face so I held out my hand and nodded at her to come here and we went home for the night.
THAT NIGHT
"DEREK THE PHONE" Meredith shouted from inside I was out exercising
D-"Hello"
?-"hello"
.......................
D-ehm ok I'll have to talk to my wife about it but ok put my name down but keep a back up just in case.......thank you" I said then hung up really shocked
"Who was that sweetie" she asked
"Mer you won't believe who was on the phone" I said holding still

So cliffhanger try not to hate me too much
quick note here I'm going to redo my ER story because I found a version I did in a notebook so I will use that. I will start that tonight and I will try and get that up tonight as well so follow me to know when it's up.
