"What are you doing here on the school roof?"
"Nothing important...thinking..."
I won't even ask Vegas because I saw a boy leaving the roof before Vegas approached me.
"Is that Peter and his girlfriend?"
"It's Pete!Pete! P-E-T-E...Pete"
Damn! Can't you even memorize his name???
"Looks like she came to visit her boyfriend. She's pretty."
"If you say so...."
"Hmmm...are you jealous?"
"What?"
"Since day one you've been chasing this bodyguard P-E-T-E...are you interested in him?"
"What if I am... does it bother you?"
Let me tease you a little bit.
"Harumph...are you serious?! He is not my taste."
It bothers me the disdain Vegas shows for Pete. You will regret this someday, buddy!
"Well, good for me. There are at least one boy left in this school."
"What about this tone of voice of yours?"
"What tone?"
"You look annoyed with me...I've been noticing this for a while." Vegas says camly as he stares at me coldly.
"Me?...N-no...I'm cool, man."
"Is that so?"
"Sure"
"If you have any problems with me, just say so. We can work this out as a family."
Vegas speaks cordially, but deep down I know he's threatening me.
"Don't worry. If there's any problem between us, you will be the first to know."
I don't feel like playing nice today.
"Good."
Vegas pats my shoulder, looks at Pete, and walks away.
Screw him!
I don't see or feel this Vegas as my father, anyway. Besides him, my damn little brother Vegas has been stressing me out the last few days. He's not cooperating with me. On the contrary. He's been making things more difficult for me.
Arrgh! Maybe I'm just not in a good mood today...but being around Pete does make me feel good.

A while later I see Pete and his girlfriend hugging. She leaves first. He just stands there, looking out over the landscape.
