Happy Birthday (Pt. 2)

Fun Fact: The last Chapter was going to be Chronos' birthday part and yesterday was going to be his birthday but I got sick so now it's today

*I've mentioned him a zillion times but never given a description, so would you like me to draw him?

'You're insane.'

'Is it insane to get something for your best friend's birthday?' Poltergeist asked.

'I'm your best friend?' Chronos smiled.

'Chronos I'm pretty sure you're my only friend.'

'What about Manticore?'

'Eh, she's more of a frenemy, y'know?'

'Oh I totally get that but seriously you didn't have to get me anything.' Chronos crossed his arms. He wanted to appear annoyed with the attention but he couldn't hide his smile.

'So...' Poltergeist held up the stuffed Axolotl he got him, 'You don't want the sea lizard?'

'Oh no, I want that give.' Chronos said.

Poltergeist chuckled and handed it to him. 'The kid got you something too.'

'Wait what? With what money?'

'Father has been giving me an allowance.' Kai held up the shoji lamp. 'I was gonna get one of those floating lanterns but I couldn't find one. So I got this for ¥800.'

'Oh my god, it'll fit right in with my Tamaya.'

'You have a Tamaya?' Poltergeist recoiled, 'For who?'

'My Mom. She died when I was really young. I don't remember her, but I still love her. I've heard stories...' Chronos smiled softly and held the plushie closer to him.

'Oh... I don't remember my mom either, so you're not alone.'

'Yeah, and I don't remember shit about anything from before I joined the Yakuza. So, I don't remember either of my parents.'

Chronos laughed, 'Yeah. Thanks, guys.'

Kai gave the Lamp to Chronos and sat back down.

The front door burst open and Manticore came in with Aphrodite. 'We're back!~' Aphrodite sang.

*Ahklys came from the kitchen with a bottle of whiskey and covered his ears, 'Really? Aphrodite you just... You just have to yell?'

'You grew up with Terugo you should be used to this by now.' Manticore said.

'Shut.'

'Where'd you two go?' Chronos asked, setting the Lamp down, still holding the Axolotl. 'I'm gonna name this thing Bill, I already have my duck Fred may as well keep the American names up.'

'We got cake.'

'Cake? Seriously?'

'It's your birthday accept the gifts damnit.' Ahklys joked.

'How old are you turning anyway?' Kai asked.

'23.'

'You're only ten years old than Kai?' Manticore asked.

'Yeah? You didn't know that?' Chronos smirked.

'Dude... You never mention your age how was I supposed to know that?' Manticore asked.

'Fair.'

'We got chocolate take it or leave it motherfucker.' Aphrodite set the cake down. 'I'm getting wine.'

Chronos snickered, 'Yeah, chocolate is good. I like chocolate.'

'You better!'

Chronos looked down with a slight smile, 'Thanks, guys. I haven't had a real birthday since I got here.'

'Yeah, we know. But y'know it helps to have a birthday if you tell people when your birthday is.'

'Yeah...'

Aphrodite handed him a knife, 'Here. Cut your cake.'

'Hungry?'

'Cut the goddamn cake Sagaki.'

He snickered again and cut it into eighths. 'There's six of us so this should be good.'

'Finally! I'm so hungry!'

Kai felt tired and had to go to bed by eleven. Terugo came to hang out with everyone around an hour earlier, he just wanted cake. Ahkyls got Chronos a new skirt (One he'd been wanting for a while). Aphrodite ate and got back on her phone. Manticore got him an iTunes gift card.

The party eventually ended at 3:00 AM, everyone leaving an going to bed a various times.

All in all, a pretty good day for Chronos.
