Fun Fact: Dazi is the only person Terugo has truly loved (i.e. the only person who he genuinely couldn't kill even to save his own life)

~

Terugo came home and 10:00 AM, sad he was away from Dazi, but still glad to be back. 'Poltergeist!~' He cheered. 'I'm back!~'

Poltergeist audibly sighed and asked how his weekend was.

'It was great! I got there pretty late, but Dazi wasn't upset. He let me stay in his room last night because I got super drunk. Still a bit hungover but I'll be fine!~ The meeting was boring as usual, but it wasn't too bad I suppose.' He shrugged, 'We had a dinner date last night so that was pretty fun!'

'Right...'

'How was Kai's weekend?' Terugo asked.

Poltergeist blinked slowly, knowing damn well Terugo didn't care how Kai's weekend was. What he was really asking was, 'Did he fuck anything up while I was gone?'

'His weekend went okay.' Poltergeist answered. Which in reality meant; 'Cool it he didn't even leave the base.'

'Good!'

'Sir,' Poltergeist said, catching his boss' attention. 'It's Kai's birthday today.'

'Yeah? And?'

'I was wondering if we could take him somewhere. He's been good, he's been quiet and obedient. Call it a reward, if he enjoys it enough he may even act better than he already is so we can do something for his next birthday too.'

Terugo considered it. It was a good idea and he would like to go out but... 'I'm still in a hangover.'

'Sir you went out by your own free will, not even for any kind of occasion, purely because you were bored and wanted to watch another death on the news while you were in a hangover. Surely you can handle a fast food joint.'

'You want to take my son to a fast food restaurant?! I hate Kai with every atom of my being don't get me wrong but how dare you?'

'Sir you were eating a McDonald's Happy Meal with no issue literally a week ago chill.'

'There was nothing else around!'

'There was a five-star hibachi restaurant like five minutes away.'

'There was?'

'Sir you asked to go to McDonald's with your own words.'

'Sh-Shut up!' Terugo yelled, 'My answer is no, I don't want to go anywhere.'

'You don't want to go because you don't want the kid to have fun!' Poltergeist called as Terugo left the living room.

Hijimi huffed as he slumped down in his office chair, 'Well duh, how's he supposed to know I hate him if I let him have fun?'

'You clearly don't know how manipulation works.' A voice from behind said.

Terugo yelped and looked behind him. 'Ah! Garaki how long have you been here?!'

'Oh, I just got here. I know you have a flair for the dramatic so I thought this would be fitting.'

'Oh! Okay!' Terugo smiled, 'Have you come to finally get back to me on what's going on with Kai's arms?'

'Finding out why someone is in pain when the parent won't let me see the patient is extremely hard.' Garaki raised an eyebrow. 'But yes, I am.'

'Well? Tell me!'

'It's a side effect. His quirk, since it isn't natural to his body, is causing awful strain on his arms. That's causing the pain.'

'So what? Get someone to massage his arms?' Terugo asked.

'It would help yes.'

Terugo sighed and rolled his eyes, 'Fine. Whatever, as long as I don't have to do anything. Just... Just go tell Poltergeist he'll take care of it.'

Garaki internally sighed but nodded.
