'And now let the trial commence!' The judge exclaimed.

Terugo huffed, looking at his nails. 'This is boring.'

'Just remember, let me do the talking.' His lawyer said.

Terugo rolled his eyes. 'This would be so much easier with Poltergeist.'

'Yes, but you killed him now hush.'

'The court calls Chisaki Kai to stand!'

Kai flinched and stood up. He was wearing a new outfit, a white shirt, blue jeans, a black cloth mask, and his usual jacket.

'Chisaki Kai, do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?'

'I do...'

'First question, is it true that you willingly stayed with your father, actively avoiding the heroes trying to save you so you could stay with him.'

'Yes...'

'And is it true you encouraged Archer Hero: Phantom Arrow to abandon the rescue mission because you wanted a young girl named Eri to be safe?'

'Yes, your honor.'

'And is it true you have no formal training with your quirk? Only the training of an amateur villain?'

Kai hesitated, he didn't think Poltergeist was an amateur... In fact, he thought he did a good job training his quirk. 'Y-Yes your honor.' He'd rather just say yes.

'And is it true that you made your boyfriend, Kurono Hari, not to tell the police or heroes about your situation?'

'Yes.'

The judge nodded, 'You may sit.'

Kai breathed a sigh of relief and sat down.

'The court calls Cunningham Arthur to stand!'

Terugo didn't stand. 'My name is Hijimi Terugo. I left my birth-given name behind when I left London.'

The judge sighed and called again, 'The court calls Hijimi Terugo to stand!'

'Better.' Terugo giggled and stood up.

'Hijimi Terugo, do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?'

'Yeah yeah, whatever.'

'Hijimi Terugo, how do you plead?'

The lawyer started to talk but Terugo beat him to it. 'Guilty.'

'Hijimi!'

'So you plead guilty to poisoning Chisaki Izo, raping and killing Chisaki Izumi, and mentally, emotionally, and physically torturing Chisaki Kai?'

'Yes.' Terugo giggled.

'And you plead guilty to the kidnapping of Tsutsumi Kaina, also known as Pro Hero: Lady Nagant, and multiple other kidnappings?'

'Yes, that was me.' Terugo snickered again.

'And you plead guilty to the rape and torture of Summers Leilani, also known as B Rank Villain: Hippogriff?'

'Yes.' The lawyer who had been trying to get him to just shut his mouth finally gave up.

'And you plead guilty to all the experimentations, manufacture and sale of illegal drugs, and manipulation of multiple of your members and child?'

'Yes, indeed I plead guilty to all.'

'As well as the robberies, murders, and accounts of arson?'

'Yes.'

The judge closed his eyes, 'With all that being said, the court finds you guilty on all accounts. You should be sentenced to lethal injection for crimes such as these...'

Terugo's happy and carefree attitude changed immediately. He was alarmed, taken off guard, surprised, other words for surprised. For the first time in his life... He was scared...

'What?' He asked, a terrified smile on his face.

'However, your son Kai, the very child you tortured and manipulated, took pity on you. He asked for one thing and one thing only. That you don't be put to death.'

Terugo's eyes widened as his head snapped over to Kai so fast he swore he felt something pop. 'What?!'

'So instead, Hijimi Terugo, for your crimes, you will receive life in Tartarus prison.'

He could've died, he could've been put on death row, but he wasn't. And it was because of Kai? You're joking! Why would he do that? Terugo didn't know what to think. But he knew one thing for sure.

Suddenly crime didn't seem so fun anymore.
