Fun Fact: Haru chose Ghost as Medusa's villain name and got very sad when they had to change it

~

Well, all good things must come to an end. By morning come Terugo was back to his old ways. Kai knew he shouldn't have opened up. He knew it was a bad idea and he did it anyway. God, why was he like this?!

Kai sobbed quietly to himself as Terugo forced him to run errands with him. Terugo sighed, 'Damnit, I can't find the Wagyu.'

'Over there.' Kai pointed, trying to hide how shakey his voice was.

'Oh! Thanks, Puppy!' Terugo giggled.

Kai flinched and walked with him. Why was he still making him hang out with him? He didn't care, 'Why did I trust him?'

Terugo noticed Kai hanging his head low, avoiding him. He glared and forced Kai to look at him, recoiling slightly when he saw the tears rolling down his cheeks. 'Why the hell are you crying this time?'

'Because...' Kai avoided his eyes.

'Look at me Chisaki.' Terugo growled.

Kai flinched and slammed his eyes shut.

Terugo glared, 'You don't really want to put that poor girl's life on the line like this do you, Kai?'

Kai's eyes shot open and he made eye contact with Terugo. 'Good. Now tell me what the hell happened that you're crying in public? You're drawing attention.'

'S-Sorry.'

'Tell me.'

Kai flinched.

Terugo stared at him for a moment before sighing, 'Fine whatever. Let's just get the meat and go home. Poltergeist is waiting in the car.'

The car ride home was quiet, which made Poltergeist very aware something had happened in the store. Terugo never stops talking for more than a minute.

'Something wrong boss?'

'Just... Annoyed. That child is scared of me for no reason!'

Kai looked up, a look on his face that said, 'Bitch what?' Poltergeist chuckled quietly at that.

'Sir,' Poltergeist put up a shadow wall so he wouldn't have to hear any more of the audacity. 'Ever think maybe he doesn't want to be used for his quirk?'

'Why not? Medusa's fine with it.'

'You're threatening Medusa.'

'I am?'

'Haru?' Poltergeist tried.

'Oh yeah, well whatever. He's my son I do what I want.'

'That's... Not how parenting works.'

'You sure?'

'Yes sir. I'm sure.'

Terugo hummed and looked out the window. 'How do I reach out to him?'

'I'm sorry?' Poltergeist asked.

'Kai, you seem to have gained his trust. How do I do that?'

'Why do you want to?'

'Because I want him to be obedient. And I noticed yesterday that he was more willing to listen once he trusted me a little more. So how do I get him to trust me?'

'Oh I don't know, maybe try being nice to him?'

'Nah...'

'You were nice yesterday!'

'That was an experiment.'

'And how did go?'

Terugo clicked his tongue, 'It went well.' He said in a mocking voice.

'Exactly.'

'Ughhhhh but I don't want to!'

'Whatever.' Poltergeist caved, god this man would never grow up.
