I decided to stop crying, why was I crying in the first place? He never declared he loved me, he just said he liked me, so, that's two different aspects, he didn't ask me to be his girlfriend, he never made advances for sex each time we were together, except he would kiss me and that was all.
So, why am I angry at him? Is it because I've started to like him more than I should? Because I thought I would expect more from him? Is it because he was the first guy in my life I've gotten to love?
'Why am I dumb?' I sighed, the thousands of questions running through my head were sickening.
I don't want questions and I don't want answers, I just want to go back to the old normal me.
So, why does this hurt so much? It felt as if I was stabbed with a poisoned sharpened knife.
I didn't care much about the poster stuff, where they had pictures of Kayden and me kissing, I just had to bear in mind that I'll be a trending topic for the next two to three weeks before it finally goes down.
I sniffed, I stopped myself from crying, I wasn't going to cry because of that asshole, he doesn't deserve any single tear that I will shed from my eyes.
Drawing a breath in sharply, I got on my feet, I was sitting in a storage room in the library, it was a different section inside the library, so, I sat there almost spending my entire day.
I didn't go to class, I was very heartbroken to even attend any of the classes today knowing I might run into Kayden, I don't want to see him ever again, especially today but that's impossible, even though I told him I never wanted him close to me again, that doesn't mean we won't see each other in class.
I switched on my phone, and suddenly, it began to ring, and it was an unknown number. Furthermore, I hesitated for a minute, wondering whether to pick up the call or not.
I clicked on the accepting icon and brought the phone close to my ear.
"Hello!"
"Jade!"
"Did she pick? Where is she?" I heard another voice ask.
"Ariana?" I inquired to be certain.
"Yes, it's Ariana, where are you? We've been looking for you since and your phone was switched," Ariana revealed, and I sighed.
"Are you fine?" She asked worriedly.
"Yes, I'm fine," I responded.
"Where are you?" She asked again.
"I'm still in school, I'm about to leave the library," I told her.
"Okay, we'll meet you there, Ivy come on, she's at the library," Ariana uttered.
I hung up and decided to check my messages and saw almost fifteen messages and ten missed calls from Kayden, and I frowned.
I wanted to open his message but decided against it, 'I want nothing to do with him,' I told myself and opened the door and got into the main library.
There weren't many students in the library, so, I hurried my way out of the building and saw Ariana and Ivy coming to me.
"Jade!" They called my name in unison.
"Goodness, your eyes, they are puffy, have you been crying so long?" Ivy asked worriedly.
"No," I lied and sniffed, avoiding their gaze.
"Jade, we just want you to know you are our friend, and we're your friends, if you have anything bothering you, you can always come to us," Ivy spoke and Ariana nodded in affirmation.
"Thank you guys," I smiled wearily.
"So, do you want to hang out?" Ariana asked.
"You know, to take your mind off what that jerk did to you," Ivy said.
"Honestly, I hate him, he's just fine for nothing, he thinks he can just play girls the way he wants," Ariana hissed annoyingly.
"Come on, girl, let's go have fun," Ivy encouraged me, and I found myself laughing slightly.
I never had fun with female friends, I didn't even know how it feels it looks like hanging out with female friends, and maybe it would be great to follow them out.
"Okay, first, we'll go to my parent's restaurant, eat something then we can go out," I told them, feeling a bit excited about them, and they grinned at me.
"Your parents have a restaurant?" Ariana asked delightedly.
"Yeah, mostly fries and chicken treat," I told them.
"Goodness, what are we waiting for," Ivy gasped and grinned at the same time.
"Let's get going," Ariana tugged on my right hand and Ivy tugged on my left hand, they began dragging me along with them, heading to the school's park.
