Standing between one of the shelves, my eyes scanned through the textbooks arranged neatly on each row of shelves.
I was looking for a statistics textbook to borrow from the library and then go home immediately since it was closing hours.
Squinting, my gaze, I searched through the textbooks in the business section when I felt an arm wrapped around my waist suddenly and twirling me around.
A slight gasp escaped my lips, my eyes widened almost bulging out of their eye sockets, and my heart beating t before my gaze fell and rested on Kayden's appearance, and a rush of relief ran through me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him in a hushed, low voice, glancing around and hoping no one was nearby to see me and him together.
Kayden smiled softly at me, releasing one of his arms around my waist and bringing them up to the side of my face.
I swallowed hard staring at him, when he didn't reply, my instinct immediately told me to move away from him which I did, but he pulled me closer to him, pressing our bodies together and tightening his grip around my waist.
I stared at him flushed and flustered, I opened my mouth to say something, but it got trapped in my throat.
"Kayden," I called his name out, softly, still staying alert in case anyone was coming toward us.
"How are you doing?" He asked, taking me in with his eyes.
"Fi-fine, I'm fine," I stuttered and glanced around again.
"You should relax, no one is in the library right now, except the librarian though," He tried to calm me down, his fingers trailing softly on the side of my face giving me a certain kind of hunger and feeling.
"Why are you here?" I questioned him firmly, trying to drive off his effect on me, he quirked his brow at me.
"To see you," He answered, and I tilted my head at him.
"See me?" I smirked at him.
"Well, you've been seeing me in class, isn't that enough for you," I teased him playfully, it seems Kayden was getting me out of my shell I didn't feel like the shy type of person when talking and being close to him.
"No, it wasn't," He rasped out in a husky tone, that sent shivers down my spine and his gaze shifted to my lips, he leaned closer to me and his face was pretty close to mine.
He took my lips softly in his before I knew it and he found his way through my lips.
I felt the rush of helplessness, the sinking yield, and a surging tide of warmth that enveloped my body.
My fingers tugged on his shirt, almost digging into his skin as he deepened the kiss, his insistent mouth was parting my shaking and quavering lips wider, sending wild tremors through my nerves, evoking every sensation in me that I've never known I would be able to possess.
I was falling for him... Falling gradually and deeply, and I'm starting to regret it, but I don't.
A thirsty groan escaped his lips when he noticed I was kissing him back with the same force and energy, he was using to kiss me.
I pushed him to one of the shelves and kissed him as if my life depended on it, our tongues swirled to the beat of our desires, and Kayden's arm tightened the more around his waist, pressing me harder on him.
I broke the kiss when I realized I was out of the air to breathe, panting hard, Kayden stared deeply into my eyes and dropped a quick perk on my lips which caused dancing butterflies to disturb my stomach.
A bright smile appeared on his lips. "That was hot," He breathed out.
I moved back away, when his hands let go of my waist, I felt my cheeks heat up profusely, awkwardly biting my lower lips as I avoided his gaze.
"Uhm, l need to get a textbook," I informed him, feeling anxious as I turned away from him and continued my search.
"What's the name? Let me help you," Kayden offered as he got beside me.
"A statistics textbook," I told him.
"Oh okay,"
Kayden and I checked the shelves for the textbook, I was beginning to wonder if someone else had already borrowed the book.
"This?" I heard Kayden question, hazily.
"Fundamental principle of statistics," He spoke, and I snapped towards him.
"Yeah, that's it," I beamed, he handed the book to me and smiled warmly at me.
"Thank you," I muttered.
"I think you should thank me in action and not in words," He smirked at me.
"How?" I asked confusedly, being the naive girl that I am.
"Here," He smiled mischievously, placing his index finger on his lips, and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Then, no, thank you," I scoffed and turned around.
"You are no fun," Kayden whined as he walked beside me.
"Then go meet girls who are of fun then," I whined back, and he laughed.
"Nah, I won't, you will soon enough," He said beside me, I didn't say anything but smiled to myself.
The librarian made me sign in a notebook that I was borrowing the statistics textbook and that I would be returning it in the next coming week.
Kayden and I walked out of the building and I made my way toward the place I kept my bicycle.
"You brought your bicycle?" Kayden asked.
"Yeah, I did," I answered, turning my face to the side to stare at him.
"Have you ever driven a car before?" Kayden asked me, and I stopped in my tracks, and he did too, as he glimmered at me.
"No, but I would love to," I told him.
"When will you be free?" He asked immediately.
"Why?" I questioned him curiously, arching a brow at him.
"When?" He threw back at me.
"Why?" I shot back, and he sighed, he brought his hands to the back of his head and scratched it.
"Gosh, you are just too stubborn," He remarked.
"Only for those who make me act stubborn," I teased him, and his lips twirled in amusement.
"And who are the those?" He asked, moving closer to me.
"Huh?"
"Huh? Huh?" He taunted and I rolled my eyes at him.
"I can't tell," I answered with a grumpy voice, avoiding his dazzling gaze.
"Back to my question then, when will you be free?" He asked, making me sigh.
"I don't know," I replied to him with a shrug.
"You know, I help my parents over at the restaurant so, I don't know when I'll be free," I told him truthfully.
"Then we'll create one for you, but now that you've made mention of your parents' restaurant. I'm craving some fries and chicken," He smirked at me.
"Come on, let's get going," He said and grabbed my wrist.
"You don't expect me to follow you in your car, I brought my bicycle," I hinted to him, and he sighed, closing his eyes and opening them immediately after.
"Jade, I'm not having this argument with you," He said deeply and began dragging me towards the school's car parkway.
"Won't I be taking my bicycle home," I yelled at him, my lips swirling in amusement as a chuckle left my mouth.
