The chattering and buzzing noises from the students all the time in the morning could be very sickening most of the time.
I was making my way towards my locker, always getting weird and curious stares from the students as I passed by.
They knew about the lovey-dovey going on between Kayden and me, all thanks to him making it obvious.
I could recall how Ariana and Ivy screamed in their voices when I told them Kayden had asked me out... They were grinning from ear to ear and wanted to know more details when I told them that he took me to his home.
I approached my locker and froze to my spot when my eyes fell on someone.
'Brandon?'
'What's he doing there?' I thought and slowly took my steps approaching him.
He was leaning on his side beside my locker, with his arms folded on his chest, like he was waiting for someone.
I got closer to him and coughed slightly, then he turned his face in my direction, his eyes sparked, and he moved away from the locker staring at me.
His height overshadowed me, he was just as tall as Kayden, but Kayden was a bit taller, his eyes were dark brown when I got close to him, I used to think they were black.
"Jade," He muttered, his eyes raking me over then he sighed, and ran his fingers through his dark chocolate hair.
"I'm sorry," He mumbled, and my eyes widened.
'He was apologizing,' I stared at him, astounded.
"I'm sorry too," I muttered, still feeling uneasy at the fact I almost broke his neck and knocked him out.
"I shouldn't have knocked you out that way," I confessed, and he stared at me in amusement.
"Yeah, that sure hurts as hell," He chuckled softly.
"I'm sorry, I've been wanting to ask how you were doing and when I asked Kayden he said you'll be fine," I told.
"He did?" I can feel some hint of relief in his voice.
"Yeah, but he's still angry though," I told him.
"I know, I don't like the way things turned out between us, but it's my fault, I shouldn't have gotten into a fight with Kayden and I knew I was dumb when I gave Athena the video of what we discussed about you in the club, I was just being a jerk when Kayden said he couldn't keep up with the bet any more before Athena approached me, I'm sorry about that".
"Wait! Kayden met with you before Athena pulled up that nonsense?" I asked eagerly and he nodded.
"Yeah, he did a few weeks back before the incident happened,"
"And Athena?" I questioned, arching one of my brows at him.
"Yeah, she came to meet me, saying Kayden wasn't the same guy he used to be, well, that's true, we all notice the changes in him, and she was furious when she caught you two kissing behind the shelves in the library, and I was just stupid to give her the video after her pleas," He revealed.
'Then she was the one behind all those posters that got distributed in school about me and Kayden,' I thought.
"I'm sorry Jade, I didn't mean to hurt you, I see reasons why Kayden said you don't deserve to be treated that way and I hurt him the more," He spoke sadly and looked away.
"It's okay," I uttered after a while.
"You should apologize to Kayden," I told him.
"I want to, but I would rather not approach him at first," He chuckled, and I raised my brows at him.
"I would be getting a punch in the face if I go meet him,"
"So, you want someone to apologize on your behalf," I smirked at him and folded my arms over my chest, knowing exactly what he meant.
"Yeah, to calm down his ego before I apologize," He smiled.
"So, would you help me out?" He asked, and I nodded, a gigantic grin appearing on his face, showing his cute dimples.
"Yeah,"
"That means I'm forgiven from your side, right?" He asked and I laughed.
He stretched his right hand to shake me and when I was about to accept his hands with mine, someone punched him in the face, and he staggered back in his steps, hitting his back on the locker and my eyes widened in shock.
It was Kayden.
"Stay the fuck away from her!" Kayden roared, stepping in front of me, while I flinched backward and gasped.
'How? Where did he come out from?' I thought.
"What are you doing with her?" Kayden growled and moved closer to him and grabbed the collar of his shirt while Brandon held his hands trying to stop him.
I glanced around, noticing the curious stares from everyone, Kayden raised his fisted hand and wanted to crush Brandon's face.
"Kayden stop!" I rushed to him and grabbed his arms.
"Please stop," I pleaded
"Stop, he was just apologizing," I told a furious Kayden, who was still growling and shooting daggers at Brandon.
"Please,"
He lowered the arm I was holding and let go of Brandon, who began coughing and rubbed his neck.
I breathed out, glancing around, eyes prying at us while they murmured among themselves.
Suddenly, Kayden grabbed my wrist and began pulling me with him, while I followed like an obedient child. He was agitated, I could feel it in him.
We made our way through the classes and Kayden unlocked one of the classes, he glanced at and pulled me inside, luckily it was empty with no students. He closed the door behind, and I heard a click.
'Did he just lock us inside?' I thought, narrowing my gaze at him.
"What the fuck did he say that made you smile and was about to shake him?" He fired.
'Woah! He's on another level, didn't he hear what I said earlier?'
He apologized.
I stared at him with my mouth agape, then I frowned and glared at him, I hated being shouted at for something I knew I didn't do wrong.
"And where were your ears when I said he was apologizing," I shot at him, and he blinked at me, then he glared back again.
"Brandon apologized?" He asked, amused, moving closer to me while I stared at him.
"Yeah, he did,"
"He said he was sorry for what he did to you and me," I told him, and he stopped a few feet away from me.
"But that doesn't mean you should smile or shake hands with him or any other guy," He growled, his blue eyes getting dark.
"Are you jealous?" I blurted, tilting my head at him and feeling astonished.
"Yes, I am."
"I knew what I passed through for you to like me back and no idiot would just come from nowhere and earn your smile without working hard for it," He snarled, and I couldn't stop myself from laughing.
'Goodness, he won't kill me,'
'He will be the death of you,' My mind retorted. I smiled at him while he frowned.
"Is that supposed to be funny?" He deadpanned while I smirked at him.
"Of course, do you expect me to scowl at every guy I meet?" I teased.
"I don't mind if you frown at them all day, I don't want any guy to see how beautiful and captivating your smile is," He sneered, covering the distance between us.
'He's so good at flattering," I thought, feeling dazed already.
"Only, I deserve to see your lovely smile and cherish it," He spoke softly, his eyes glimmering at me and I found myself smiling at him helplessly.
"Come here," I muttered and raised my face to him, then tapped my fingers on my lips.
He quirked a brow at me, the corner of his lips curling up into a smile.
"You want me to kiss you?" He smirked, amusement lingering in his eyes, then bringing his hand to the side of my face.
"Yes," I whispered, blushing, and the flicker in his alluring blue eyes sparkled.
"Then beg me for it," He said huskily, leaning his face close to me so that our noses touched each other. We could feel our breath fanning our skins, his lips purposely brushed on my lips, sending shivers down my spine.
He was teasing me.
"Beg me, Jade," He muttered, gazing deeply into my eyes and I inhaled sharply, my arms wrapped around his waist pulling him closer to me.
"Please, Kayden, please kiss me," I begged, and he gave me that satisfied cocky smirk of his before he took my lips with his in a possessive way, and I melted into his body, finally tasting and feeling the softness of his lips in mine.
