"Jade, don't let Ivy get to you," Ariana alerted as I bounced, my palms glued firmly against the basketball.
The screeching sounds of our sneakers and the hitting of the basketball on the floor echoed in all corners of the court building.
Ariana, Ivy, and I decided to play basketball, it was break time and again the three of us didn't have any work in our fifth period, so we decided to play basketball.
It was Ariana and me against Ivy. I passed the ball to Ariana, but Ivy pushed her out of the way and grabbed the ball and I sighed, Ariana chased after her while Ivy dribbled her, I jogged to where they were to help Ariana, I had grabbed the basketball from Ivy when it slipped off my palm then Ivy bounced forward catching the ball and began running to net post.
She jumped when she was close by, throwing her arms to the back with both hands on the basketball.
She aimed for The post and threw the ball but unfortunately for her, the ball just hit the hoop of the net and fell to the floor without entering the net and Ariana burst out laughing.
"I thought you were going to hit that," She teased while I jogged over to the bouncing ball and grabbed it with my hands, a slight smile playing on my face.
I bounced around, hitting the ball on the floor, and moved closer to her.
"Shut up! I didn't set my target well," Ivy rolled her eyes at Ariana. She darted her eyes towards me and squint her gaze, then she began moving closer to me.
"We're starting," Ariana said from behind, and I sneered at Ivy.
Her eyes narrowed at me suspiciously, her eyes trying to observe my movement.
Ariana was standing by the right behind her, and I was also on the right side too.
I made her think I was bouncing to the left and quickly moved back to the right and threw the ball to Ariana who grabbed it in her hands and began running to the net post of our side
"Come on," Ivy groaned tiredly, walking over to Ariana.
"Come get the ball," Ariana teased, then raised her hands and threw the ball directly into the net post.
"Bingo!" Ariana chuckled.
"We won," I said behind Ivy, who had sat on the floor.
"You two cheated, that's unfair, two against one," Ivy frowned bitterly while Ariana laughed at her.
"I thought you said you were pretty good at playing basketball," Ariana sneered while I laughed.
"Like seriously, I thought she was playing for the NBA with the way she was hyping herself," Ariana added.
"Should I play with you alone?" Ivy challenged, still not happy that she lost to us.
"No, I'm exhausted right now," Ariana declined and sat on the floor facing Ivy. I had walked to where we dropped her stuff when coming in on the chair and grabbed the bottle of water I brought along with me.
I turned in their direction and Ivy's gaze trailed over to me and her fatigue face brightened a bit.
"Jade, don't finish that water," She said while I gulped the water I just poured into my mouth. I covered the bottle with its top cover and began walking over to her.
Ariana had placed both of her hands backward on the floor and rested on her arms while her legs were stretched straight on the floor, she was still panting from the exercise.
I passed the bottle of water to Ivy, who immediately opened the top and began gulping the water down her throat, almost finishing the water.
"Hey!" Ariana fired at her when she saw Ivy was about to finish the water and moved closer to her.
"Don't finish the water, you dimwit, I'm also thirsty," Ariana grumbled at her and snatched the bottle from Ivy, who looked indifferent about what she said.
"Who cares," Ivy said icily.
"Thank you, Jade," Ivy appreciated, while I nodded and smiled at her.
She then looked behind me and her eyes widened.
"You guys," Ivy called to our attention, her eyes staring behind me.
"Well, see who we are having here," she informed us.
"Who?"
Ariana turned her head placing the water bottle on the floor, her face turning into a scowl, then I turned around and saw Athena and her three minions behind her.
She looked irritated when her gaze met mine, and I knew something was up with the way she stared at me.
"Well, this is where you losers are," Athena started while I stared at her intensely, not putting any signs of emotions on my face.
"If anyone is a loser, it's you, Athena," Ivy announced dryly and Athena snapped her gaze to Ivy who was sitting on the floor glaring at her.
"You!" Athena growled.
"I guess it's time to be taught a lesson," Athena barked.
"Girls," She ordered, and two of her stupid minions began walking over to Ivy.
"What are you guys doing?" Ariana asked at alert, curiosity seeping into her voice.
"That's for you to find out," Athena smirked.
"Hey!" I heard Ivy snap and I turned to see the girls were trying to grab her and make her stand up.
I began marching towards them furiously, the girl backing me, I grabbed a handful of her hair from behind, and her hands immediately come up to me attempting to remove my hands from her hair, then I pushed her away making her fall on her butt.
"Leave her alone," I fired at the second girl and Ivy pushed her away fiercely also making her fall on her butt, and they both winced.
'Idiots,'
I scoffed, turning around to face Athena, her fist clenched to her side.
"What are you doing, here?" I asked, feeling least unbothered by her.
I knew the reason she was here, it was written all over her face.
The hatred, Jealousy, anger, and murderous glares everything was visible on her face.
"I see you are getting comfortable with Kayden,"
"I knew it!" Ariana exclaimed.
"I wonder who gets so worked up on their ex who dumps them," Ivy chuckled, and Athena snapped her gaze annoyingly to Ivy.
"You bitch," Athena began marching towards her while I grabbed her arms and pulled her backward, almost causing her to fall, but she got her balance immediately, and I stepped in front of Ivy.
"Stay away from her," I warned, giving Athena a daring look to do anything stupid.
"What are you, huh?" She fired at me unbelievably.
"She might knock you out if you're not careful," Ariana hinted and saw Athena's face widen in fright, but she masked it off immediately.
"I'm warning you, Jade, Kayden is not yours and will never be," She growled.
"Too bad, I'm his," I smirked, tilting my head to the side and folding my arms on my chest, while I gave her a smug look.
"You are going to regret this, Jade,"
"I promise you."
"You will,"
"You will regret ever coming to this school," She threatened and with a humph coming from her, she turned around and flipped her hair to the back and began marching away, and the three morons she had as her puppets began following behind her.
"Ivy, are you okay?" I asked, getting worried as I turned to her.
"Yeah, I am," She smiled at me.
"That bitch annoys me to my bone marrow," Ariana seethed.
