Chapter 9: Training

(A/N): Keep in mind some of the plots may have been altered in Blue Lock, but everything else remains the same.

"10 more dribbles around the football pitch you rascals!" Shouted your coach.

Everyone who was running around the pitch was giving Hideo the fattest death stare known to humanity.

Especially you, since you tried your best for your scarf to fall off your neck, due to some circumstances that went down the other day with you know who.

"What? All I just said was that we could easily do 10 more laps." Hideo huffing and puffed as they did their last dribble, almost collapsing on the ground.

"Seems like you were wrong." You muttered, you looked to your left seeing, Kaito giving this look.

"What is wrong with him this time his giving that look where he's upset, think! what did I do this time." You thought to yourself hitting your head.

"What were you doing at the mall?"

"Oh! the mall?, ah yes the mall, the mall um I was just simply curious about the layout of the mall"

"Dude, don't be stupid we all know what happened, just don't let it fuck up your game alright?" Kaito-walked off.

"All know what?" You thought.

You adjust your scarf again.

As you headed to the locker room where all your teammates were.

Once everyone was there you sat next to Kaito-kun but he suddenly distanced himself from you, seemed like something ticked him off.

You had no idea why.

Suddenly you felt an arm around you.

"Love huh, you know what they all's is fair in love and war, don't worry he'll get over it soon," Hideo said to you.

"Get over it? What is there to get over?" You asked him, in response Hideo looked surprised.

"What you don't know? Has your phone been on silence the whole time or something?"

"Actually it has how'd you know?"

"Doesn't matter, once we're done with this training talk and have lunch head to the cafeteria and just check your phone for yourself."

"Alright then."

You waited patiently for the coach to speak.

"Alright this will be the last game of the year and this is important as this will be the final for the junior finals tournament."

"We focus on our touches on the field, our skills on the field, our attitude on the field, our passes on the field, our defence on the field and most importantly our goals on our skills." The coach directed his look at you

"We'll be playing a 4-3-3 formation meaning that they'll be only one striker, as you know we have three strikers so one of you will be benched most likely for the whole game in the face, so who out of you two wants to play"

"I want to play-"

"Kaito can play."

"Kaito can play.

All three of them said as Kaito looked at you in shock.

"Are you sure of this decision? I do fully trust your decision." Even the coach felt startled by this comment of yours, so your teammates and Hideo-kun just smirked at your remark.

Kaito nodded his head to you, feeling a bit of gratitude.

"I promise I'll lead this team to victory!" Shouted Kaito-kun.
