(Charlie's POV)
It was five minutes before you would have to head out onto the football pitch and play against FC Barcha, deciding our fate as a team on whether or not we would progress to the semi-finals and being one step closer to having a chance to win this whole tournament.
You were hyping yourself up, telling yourself that everything was going to be alright. You did as much team research as you could on their team with Sae before you went up and versed them. After all, this was both of your first time facing this team. All you knew was that the people around you had versed them multiple times before including Josh
The prior knowledge there had on our so-called rivals would be fairly important, however, we would not ask for their help, just like Sae said back then you would have to learn for ourselves how they'd play by playing on the very same pitch as them.
"Are you ready? It's almost time we should start heading to the field now." You looked up at Sae who had placed his hand on your shoulder, telling you to go. You nodded your head standing up.
You two were the last people in the locker room, as everyone had already gone outside with Josh onto the pitch. You walked out of the locker room and a welcomed surprise had been spotted waiting for you, with another person next to him.
"Chris! I thought you'd be too big time to watch a game like this." You joked with him, as he waved his hand in response.
"Nonsense Charlie every game that you're in is a special game to watch," Chris smirked.
You were happy with that answer, but what threw you off, was the man dancing right in front of you. Chris noticed this look of yours and answered the impending question that you were just about to ask.
"Him? That's Lavinho, from Brazil who plays for FC Barcha. Some would say he an eccentric forward to eccentric in fact" Chris muttered slightly.
"You like these flashy dance moves you see? Well, guess what you're looking at the best player in the world right now!" Lavinho declared to you. You must admit his dancing was pretty cool.
"Best player in the world? You're not even top 5 in the world" Chris scoffed at Lavinho still dancing.
"Of course I'm the best, I'm the best in my eyes and that's what matters most." Lavinho chuckled.
"I guess that's not a bad mindset to have but, statistically speaking that ain't right."
Lavinho stopped dancing as he walked up to you with a smile across his face. First, he placed his hands on your arms, legs and chest things had just turned into a weird situation.
Who in their right mind would have the balls to do what Lavinho was doing right now?
Was this illegal? The only person that ever touched you like that had to be Ito.
If you get what I mean.
Once he was satisfied with that he glanced over to Chris.
"You weren't wrong when you said you were training him, I can defiantly notice and feel the physical changes, his muscles are more defined." He praised Chris who had a big smile.
Lavinho continued with his speech. "Not only have you learnt from Chris Prince, and been taken under wing, it can mean only one thing. You must be one special player and I can feel the energy coming from you." He dazzled his hands at you.
"What can I say? When I look at Charlie it's like looking in a mirror." Chris gave you a wink.
"Alright I think we're done with talking to you don't disappoint me Charlie I've heard a lot of great things about you."
