NO ONE'S POV
"Let me be blunt. If things carry on the way they are, Japan will never win a World Cup. Not in a million years." Teieri spoke clearly to the people who were sitting at the roundhouse table.
"We're making plenty of dough, so what do we care? After all, football is a business. Anri, surely you don't believe Japan had a chance of winning the World Cup." Buratsuta said, with a mocking look on his face.
"Of course, I do, you money-grubbing rodent," Teieri slammed her hand onto the table.
"It's my godamn dream! If we just play our soccer, we can win?"
"Japan's possession football is good enough for the world stage?"
"That kind of thinking is exactly why we never make it past the last 16!" Shouted Teieri.
"Well, you came up with this idea, laid the groundwork, and put it all in motion," He leaned in a bit closer.
"So if it doesn't work out, I know whose head will roll." He said in a serious tone
"Your head will roll" Chuckled a voice, a man entering the room.
"K-Kenji! What are you doing here!?" Buratsuta asked, his hand visibly shaking from his appearance.
"I'm here in replacement for Akira who unfortunately couldn't be here today to hear you're pitch Teieri," Kenji stated as he towered over Buratsuta.
He didn't have to say a word to Buratsuta to make him move seats, as Kenji took Buratsuta's old seat, with a serious look on his face.
"Please continue Teieri."
Teieri nodded her head.
"I truly believe the only person who can break down Japanese football and forge a player who can lead this country to a World Cup win. . .," She walked over to the panel, slamming a picture of Ego.
"Is this man right here? Ego Jinpanchi. That is all thank you." Teieri bowed to the people at the roundhouse table as they all got up from their seats, exiting the room except for Kenji.
"You're really that confident that this Blue Lock program of yours will work," Kenji asked.
"I know it will. . . After all, you're the one who inspired me to do this in the first place."
Kenji who had a serious look on his face this whole time in the pitch, finally cracked, letting out a smirk, as he pulled out a cigarette lighting it.
"You want to take a hit." Kenji offered.
"You know I don't smoke." Teieri rolled her eyes.
"I know you don't I was just testing out if you changed or not, and you haven't that's good."
"Why are you here?" She asked the real question.
"Come on that's not fair you already spotted my lie?" Kenji chuckled.
"It's obvious you never come to important meetings even if Akira tells you to, it had to be something important." She noted.
