"Charlie!" The reporter excitedly said with her microphone bombarding your face.
"Thank you for partaking in this interview. The Royale supporters are even more excited for the Semi-finals and now they are beginning to wonder can you help win this whole tournament?" The reporter asked you, it appeared the crowd was dead silent waiting to hear your answer. Every eye was on you now.
"I believe that we have the individuals on this team who can win the whole tournament." You paused for a slight moment thinking about your next words.
"Not just one individual can win us the whole tournament. We have to play as a team if we're going to win." You said with determination as the reporter opened her mouth in awe.
"That's an amazing answer!" The crowd applauded your great words.
"Now people have been wondering after this great performance of yours despite not scoring a single goal in the game, they believe that your presence alone determined the outcome of the game. A true leader.
In all honesty, you really just wanted to be out of the spotlight for a moment. Even you could be bored of it all.
"Your teammates look up to you. Are you perhaps going to take the role of the captaincy of this Royale team after Josh's shocking action?"
What were these questions? The media really wanted some sort of juicy tea.
"That's up for the manager to decide. No disrespect to Josh but I wouldn't mind the role of captain in this team." You stated.
"For the final question after recent games we have noticed the dangerous link up between you and Sae. How are you two so in sync with one another?"
"That's simple really, I know how he plays and he knows how I play."
The reporter was satisfied with that comment of yours, nodding her head, as the crowd began chanting your name.
You headed off to the locker room where Your team would be celebrating about going to the semis.
It was just as you predicted your teammates were singing and cheering with one another. Sae was unfortunately dragged by Calvin to join in but it seemed that Sae didn't mind it all too much after all this team deserved it.
The job wasn't finished quite yet to be celebrating. After all that Michael Kaiser guy had been talked about a lot by other people.
Josh had noticed you as he swiftly stood up from his seat where he was by himself, not celebrating with the other teammates. Your teammates immediately went silent knowing the tension between you two.
Josh walked over to you, glaring at you. A smirk appeared on his face.
He took off his captain armband throwing it at you.
"You can have it fucker." He walked passed you, not before barging on your shoulder as he left the room.
You picked the Captain's armband off the ground as you sighed to yourself thinking about the situation.
"Congratulations on being captain Charlie."
You glanced over to see Sae, patting you on the shoulder.
"Was that meant to be a joke?" You chuckled.
"Because you really suck at it Sae. And besides the manager is the one that decides who is Captain or not."
"Well lucky for you it seems that the manager has noticed the hard work and effort you put in." Sae looked at the ongoing celebrations.
"He arrived here earlier in the locker room when you were doing to interview, telling Josh off on how he subbed himself off the game." Calvin chimed in.
