(Sae's POV)
A curler of a ball that hit the top bins of the goalpost, was a spectacular sight to see. This was the 5th in a row successful free-kick I had taken. I placed my hips sighing, as I thought about what my brother was doing back in Japan.
Did he still share the same dream that I once had? Or is he trying to pave a new way, a better way?
I must say my dreams. . . we were crushed during my time here in Spain. I realised that I could never achieve such a goal, a goal where I would possibly become the best striker in the world, such a stupid dream that would never happen.
So I decided to go down the way of a midfielder, I may have not liked it at first, but it was defiantly the best choice that I had made. It was thanks to Josh for being able to teach me that I wasn't good enough. He was far better than me in any and every way. I was inferior to him. I knew it and I moved on for the better.
However, he wasn't the biggest factor in my decision, surprising enough it was. . .
Charlie.
The driving force behind me becoming a midfielder was all thanks to Charlie. I didn't know it then. . . hell I still don't even know now, but what I do know is that he can become the best of us all.
I said what I said I really do believe that Charlie could even become better than Josh. No, that was wrong. I knew he could be better than Josh he was already on that path of being better than him, the minute he scored that goal against him.
So I did what I thought was right in aiding him into the path, assisting him with those goals he needed to become better, and I must say assisting those goals was already a better feeling than scoring a goal, but still scoring a goal would always be welcomed with open arms.
I knew I was always in Charlie's and Josh's shadow when it came to being a striker, but now at least I could feel relieved.
"That was a pretty damn amazing free kick you scored just right now."
I broke out of my trance as I looked over to see who it was. It was Charlie clapping after seeing that free-kick I had scored.
"How long have you been here?" I question him, and he smiled at me.
"Not too long. Long enough to see that goal fly in though." He softly punched me on the shoulder, normally I wouldn't have led that slide, but I've eased up to him now enough to let him do that.
"It wasn't anything special, just a simple free-kick that seemed to have been precise enough to land in the top right-hand corner." I blurted out
"Wasn't special?" Charlie grinned.
"That free kick was something else you've got to give yourself some props."
"Yeah I suppose it was something special, but compared to your free kicks it's nothing."
"Nonsense Sae. I wouldn't even match it, it seems you've gotten something that I'm not better at you then" He chuckled.
I nodded as even though my face was as normal as ever, Charlie still noticed that something was up with me.
"Is there something you want to tell me?" Charlie questioned.
"So you can tell when something is up with me now huh?"
Charlie simply chuckled as he grabbed the ball inspecting it.
"Well, it was about time I started noticing the little details of your behaviour, after all, we have been roommates for a while now."
"6 months. . . time does fly doesn't it Charlie?" I asked him as we both walked to a bench, sitting down.
"Yeah. . . I can't believe it's been that long and the season is about to end." Charlie looked up in the sky.
