(ITO'S POV)
"Uh, that loser and Sae haven't scored a goal yet. How are they ever going to prove that they deserve to be in Royale?" Mei scoffed looking at the scene as Josh had scored his first goal.
"I'm sure they will! It's Sae and Charlie we're talking about they'll defiantly score a goal!" Naomi shouted.
I giggled at their remarks as they looked over to see what I was giggling about.
"What's so funny Ito?" Mei questioned me.
"It's nothing, you just remind me of my best friends back in Japan that's all."
"Really? How were they like!" Naomi was now interested in this conversation of ours.
"Normally in a football game like this when Charlie is not doing particularly well my best friends would talk about how his performance isn't what it usually is. Until Charlie makes them eat their own words as he usually scores spectacular goals."
"She's right you know, something spectacular is about to happen with Charlie," Chris said smiling as he was observing the game.
"Oh I almost forgot you were here, how do you know that?" Mei asked him.
"Wow that actually hurts. . . when you've been in the game for this long you know talent, and that word talent belongs to Charlie. He's that good and hasn't reached his potential. Who knows what his peak will be I can't wait to see it. I'm surprised he doesn't have every girl swooning around him like I do all the time." He grinned at his analysis, fixing his hair in a mirror he had.
"Well maybe because he already has an amazing girlfriend who's if not the most famous and prettiest girl of our generation," Mei said dreamily.
"Really? Sure Charlie may have a pretty girlfriend but that never stopped me from getting what I wanted." Chris chuckled, taking a quick glance at Naomi.
It seemed like he knew something about Naomi that we didn't know.
(Sae's POV)
I'm not sure what caused this change in mindset to me. Whether it was influenced by Josh or Calvin. But all I knew at this moment was that the individual who pushed me to be better, smarter and stronger was Charlie.
I've always been an egotistical player, but I saw the potential of becoming selfless and passing to my teammates instead of scoring a goal for myself. After all, when I watch Josh and Charlie play in unity with one another, they were an unstoppable force, that I couldn't get near to. I was always falling behind, even if Charlie thought that we were equals.
The players in Japan, the people in Japan have no idea how hard it is to play against the world's best of our age. Football players in Europe are demons compared to Japan.
Today would be that day, I would understand how it would feel to assist a goal, rather than score one.
The opposition team finally managed to push up with the ball reaching the midfield. I calculated and analysed every single possibility of how there would manage to score a goal. I knew Josh could see the exact same things as me. He was most likely going to intercept me, with the ball.
I had to execute my idea now.
I rushed to the ball with full speed, as Agi was currently possessing it, it seems I was right that not only Josh came to take the ball, Calvin would too.
"It seems that we all want to score a goal huh?" Josh said.
"I'm not letting you score another one." Calvin gritted his teeth.
