(Josh's POV)
I was on crutches due to the injury I got from Ness but this was way more important, this was a few days after the game, Sae, Calvin and Lorenzo were all sitting at our usual hangout spot and what do you know guess who we were talking about, the man of the hour.Charlie.
"So is it true?" Calvin was the first one to speak up as we all looked at Sae, who sighed.
"Yeah unfortunately it's true but Charlie and Ito broke up." Sae simply stated.
"Wait, hold on no way that's true who broke up with who?" I asked.
"It was a mutual breakup, that's all he told me."
"A mutual breakup? Please that's not a thing." I said.
"How would you know? Says the one who's never gotten a girlfriend himself." Calvin snickered, as Lorenzo chuckled a bit after hearing that comment from Calvin.
"Not cool man, not cool that was a low blow," I replied.
"Well, anyways what Charlie said the post-match interview was pretty crazy don't you think?" Marco chimed in.
"Yeah, why would he say that?"
We all looked over to Sae, to answer the question for us.
"Why are you looking at me like I know that answer? How about this maybe you should ask Charlie everything you want to know?" Sae said.
"He does have a point," Calvin said.
"Fine, when he comes in we'll ask him," I said.
WHOOSH!
The door opened and there he was.
Oh, my days.
"Dude is everything alright you look dead," I added.
Charlie looked like he barely slept with eye bags so bad those were the first thing you would notice, as he shrugged his shoulders as he sat between me and Sae.
"Dead? I'm great! Everything is so great!" Charlie said as it looked like he was dozing off to sleep.
We all communicated with our eyes as we all knew it was not the best time to ask such a dangerous question.
"So I guess since Charlie had the performance in the finals, we can all agree that we're going to Japan."
"Yay!" Charlie muttered to himself.
"We can go to South Korea after our Japan trip we won't be there for long," Sae added.
"Yes! Let's go." I clenched my fist in victory.
"I mean with the season over we can have a great time, but remember we have to practice still for next." Calvin chimed in.
"Shit! I almost forgot to mention congratulations Sae on being nominated for being a part of New Generation World 11 as a midfielder and also Charlie for being a striker. . . He's sleeping isn't he?" I asked.
We all chuckled, listening to him snore.
"He deserves the rest. After all not only is he for the New Generation World 11 as a forward, he managed to get promoted to the first division in his first season here at Royale," Marco said.
"Yeah, he truly is a beast," I said.
"We'll ask him about what happened when he looks fine and ready to open up and talk to us," Calvin added.
"That sounds like the right thing to do, says Sae since you're nominated to be a part of the New Generation World 11, isn't there some kind of ceremony to reveal who's a part of that stuff?" Marco questioned.
"It'll be held when the person who gets the Ballon D'or is revealed," Sae responded.
"So you'll be sitting with the big boys. . . Obviously, Lavinho will get it." I proudly said.
Calvin laughed after hearing that.
"Lavinho?! As if, if it's anyone it has to be one of our own Leonardo." Calvin said.
"Oh please, what about you guys who do you think we'll win."
"Noel Noa," Sae said.
"Personally I think Chris Prince has a good shot of winning it this time," Marco suggested.
"Not bad. Funnily enough, they were all there to watch the U-20 UEFA finals." I said.
"Of course, it was the most anticipated game for all U-20 teams. Everyone who knows football probably has watched it. The battle of the ages. Charlie vs Kaiser." Calvin said.
"If you mean Charlie vs Kaiser as in Charlie making Kaiser his personal dog then yeah," I said.
"Bingo!" Calvin pointed at me.
"If I'm not mistaken Chris Prince and Charlie are pretty close with one another," Calvin said.
"Yeah, they are. . . Not only that I'm pretty close to Chris Prince." I boasted, pointing to myself.
Everyone around me began laughing.
"Hey!? What's so funny?" I questioned them all, as they continued laughing.
"You and Chris Prince come on now, you've met him like once when we were at the gym with him. The only reason why he knows us is because of our friendship with Charlie hell he probably forgot about who we are." Calvin stated.
I sighed as I knew he was probably right.
"Enough talking about football the season is over it's time to relax and we need to focus on what we're going to do over in Japan and South Korea," I said.
"We'll see when we get there," Sae said.
"Fine but can we at least all agree we spend our holiday more over in South Korea than Japan," I stated.
"I don't mind."
"I mean sure."
"Sounds alright, but you really are keen on going to South Korea. . . don't tell me the girls over there are the only reason why you want to go to South Korea," Sae asked me.
"That's exactly why we're going there," I pointed at Sae, all Sae could do was roll his eyes at you.
"Come on guys we're bachelors in paradise here we deserve to find the one, we're young we have to experience it like Charlie once did."
They all nodded intently after hearing what I had to say, did my convincing actually work on this time?
"When you say it like that. . . I don't see why not might as well make this a journey to remember." Lorenzo said.
"My man," I fist-pumped Marco. "Let's go out there to not only have the times of our lives but find the loves of our lives!"
"Yeah!" Calvin shouted.
"You guys are so pathetic," Sae rubbed the temple of his forehead. "I'm in," Sae said with determination.
"Me too," Charlie said in his sleep.
Now this was something we'd talk about forever, an amazing. . .
Hangout.
