AN: Hope you enjoy this chapter, this is where the fun really begins 😀

(Charlie's POV)
You watched in silence as the manager was preparing you and your teammates for the big game. Your first genuine big game. The round of 16 of the Youth Champions League. The nerves were building up and everything thing around you felt heightened. It was an experience that you rarely had, but to think that you were going up against Europe's best was scary.

You and Sae were both lucky and unlucky that you came here when they had already progressed through the group stage. It just meant that you would be going up against even harder players.

All this training, all this work just to make it all the way here with Sae was ready to be tested out on that pitch. The two of us had sacrificed everything to make it here leaving our friends and family back in Japan.

Though I wouldn't say I had any friends or family to talk to back in Japan. To me, they were nothing, just dead the weight that had been dragging me down all my life.

Sometimes I think about what would've been if Royale was never interested in me. One thing was for sure my sister would use me for her benefit.

You and your sister were on somewhat good terms but half the reason you left Japan was to escape her.

Blue Lock whatever that facility was in the makings and when it did become a thing, you would be the first to destroy it. Destroying her creation would be something to dream about it.

All this training, all this hard work, all these hardships came down to this.

"We've all seen the team sheet. Charlie, you will be starting as a striker, leading the line with Calvin and Josh being wingers, and Sae as a newly appointed midfielder." The manager started showing us his tactics on the board.

"Now let's go and show these supporters what it means to be a part of Royale. But before we do that the board has allowed us to have some training on the pitch before the game begins to understand the environment."

"I don't need to tell you how important a winning start is. Keep it tight, work hard for each other, and the chances will come." The manager finished off with his speech and with that, it was almost time to perform.

We headed to the field where we saw the Manshine players finishing up their training as they noticed our team up ahead. Josh swiftly moved to the front line of our team as he noticed a tall dark skinned guy who had a ponytail. Tall.

"Yo Agi! It's so great to see you, man." Josh dapped him up. It seemed like everywhere Josh went everyone knew him in the U-20 footballing world.

"It's good to see you too Josh. Who would've thought we would be challenging each other so soon in the knockout rounds." Agi commented, now shifting his eyes to the person who was beside Josh, that person was you.

"Oh him? His name is Charlie a real talent a one to watch." Josh praised you, as Agi simply nodded.

"I see, but he can't be any better than you Josh after you were the one who had knocked us out last time. . . we won't let that happen again." Agi looked at the smirking Josh

"I like to see that. . . and you're right about that he's not better than me by a long shot." Josh looked at you, it was as if he wanted to piss you off in a way.

"Calm down fellas, this tension is getting intense and I'm here to ease it." A blonde hair guy patted the shoulders of both Josh and Agi.

"N-No way what are you doing here?" Josh fumbled with his words as he saw who he was.

"Chris, I didn't expect you to be here, aren't you too big time to watch a Youth game like this?" Agi asked as Chris simply chuckled at what he had to say.
