By the time, Uzumaki Misa had defeated her doppelgänger, the fights were already over with Sasori passing away, Chiyo sacrificing her body to save the Kazekage, Gaara instead and Naruto and Kakashi being unable to catch Deidara who had sneakily escaped away as soon as he heard the death of Sasori.
Once again Naruto was dubbed as the savior of the Sand Village. After all, the boy had gone through great risks to save the Kazekage and obviously not forgetting about Chiyo's grand sacrifice. Gaara was obviously startled at first wondering why in the world Naruto, Misa, Sakura and the others would go through great lengths to save a person like him. Nevertheless Gaara was whole heartedly contented about the whole situation. Seeing all those ninjas around him ready to sacrifice their lives for the Kazekage brought tears into his eyes. It was the first time in his life, Gaara had felt like he was home and seeing the excited and joyful looks on the faces of the ninjas including Guy's team and Kakashi's team, Gaara was happy to be finally accepted by everyone. His village trusted him just like Naruto had trusted him from the very beginning.

"It's certainly gets too cold in the night even though it's so warm in the day," Neji started a conversation with the younger Uzumaki who was standing on a balcony silently observing the night sky.
"The Sand Village is so different from Konoha," Misa added.
"Obviously it is," Neji responded rolling his eyes. The younger Uzumaki was no different from the older one at times. Both literally shared the same pea brain.
"Come on, why do you always make me seem so stupid?" The girl argued pouting her lips lightly and looking in to Neji's silver eyes that sure resembled the moon.
Sure, little did Misa know that action made Neji's heart beat so hard. It definitely took Neji five years to accept that he was actually in love with Uzumaki Misa. Neji knew he deserved way better but the teenager simply couldn't take his eyes off Misa! He kept on looking at during the missions they had back when they were in the ANBU together and of course, Shikamaru noticed this particular behavior.
Two years ago...
"You like Misa, don't you?" Shikamaru took a dip in the hot bath letting his muscles relax after working on a mission.
Both Lee and Neji choked on their own spit listening to what Shikamaru said. Neji's face turned bright as he immediately looked at Shikamaru with his eyes opening up so wide that they looked like two bright moons.
"How could you even say such a terrible thing? I would never like her! I don't like her! She's annoying and so stupid and she's just so weird," Neji strongly disagreed tossing off his shirt revealing his toned, pale stomach with defined muscles alongside a perfectly sculpted six pack which raised the jealousy of the other men present in the hot bath.
"Okay, whatever. It's none of my business but you have to chill," Shikamaru yawned already being used to Neji's perfect body. He had come in terms with the fact that God had favorites and he was simply not one of them, "It's not a big deal if you like a girl you know. I mean Sasuke had already staked his claim on Misa back when they were twelve. Anything is possible in this village."
