Chapter 85: Him against the world

"He attacked the Kage summit?" Misa repeated what Gaara had announced in a state of frenzy and shock.

The young Uzumaki grit her teeth and turned away from rest wondering what in the world Sasuke was actually doing. He had only planned to attack Danzo. He should have only attacked Danzo. Why was the fool attacking the other Kages and making an enemy out of the others? He was a lunatic! There could be no other reason. He was literally asking to be a criminal.

"Naruto, you once said to me that you will be the future Hokage. Well I became the Kazekage. If you are prepared to take up the mantle of a Kage, then as Sasuke's friend, you know what you have to do. It's high time," Gaara placed his hand on Naruto's back in a way to soothe the startled b0y.

"M-misa... Did he say anything about attacking the Kages?" Naruto whispered looking over at his sister who was furiously biting her lower lip. The older Uzumaki couldn't help but sense that Misa hadn't completely told the whole story. He felt like there was something else she was hiding, "Misa, did he say that he was going to attack the other kages?"

The girl shook her head in response looking over at Kakashi and Yamato who already seemed tired by the news.

"We just wanted to let you know that news... We'll return to our village. The sand will act as if you were the Hokage, Hatake Kakashi," Temari expressed duty.

But before Temari left, she knew she had to do something. The girl threw her arms around Misa faking a hug and whispered, "You can't stop him, Misa. I don't believe your brother can do that either. He's out of control. I saw the look of hate in his eyes. He is so engorged by hate and revenge that he might not recognize you as his ally..."

The younger Uzumaki's hands trembled as Temari placed a kunai in her hand. The older girl was giving her a signal, a signal that signified that Misa had to kill Sasuke alongside her brother if things got too out of hand.

"Protect yourself and your brother. Think of your child! It would be better to put an end to that man before he turns out to be someone who the child would be embarrassed of."

That was what Temari had said before leaving and it had left a deep impact on the girl because she realized it then and there. She was a mother now. She was a mother. She couldn't be reckless and throw her life away because she had her child waiting for her at home. Life was valuable.

"Sai, what were you saying? I couldn't hear what you said," Misa said throwing a glance at the pale man, watching the Sand shinobis walk away.

"Sakura is planning to kill Sasuke herself," Sai responded.

A laugh burst out of the girl. Misa kept on laughing for a while before finally saying, "Are we surrounded by idiots? Have we all been surrounded by fools?"

Her face changed in to a stern worried look when she further shook in rage, "In what world processed that fool to kill Sasuke? Was I not clear last time when I said Sasuke's power is immense? Is she stupid? Sasuke is going to kill her, kakashi-sensei.... We have to stop her before she reaches him please."

Kakashi drew in a deep breath seeing how different the two siblings processed the new information. Naruto was clearly upset. He was in pain. He was heartbroken whilst Misa... Misa was done being sad.

"I'll hunt down Sakura and bring her back myself. Misa's right. She is nowhere near Sasuke's level. She's essentially marching to her own death. Yamato, you take the twins and head back to the village," Kakashi announced his decision, "Is it clear- NARUTO!"

"Brother!" Misa let out a scream and rushed to Naruto's side as the boy dropped down on the sheet of snow hyperventilating and having a panic attack, "Please-please breathe in slowly... slowly... Don't worry... Don't worry. Your sister is on your side."
