Her child, the epitome of sweetness nuzzled his tiny nose against her cheeks proving that he had missed his mother's sweet tenderness. This was the purest form of love, a love between a young mother and her child unlike the forceful, harsh love she had experienced from almost everyone. As she wrapped her arms around his tiny frame, his soft giggles filled the room like the sweetest melody she'd ever heard. She gently rocked him, savoring ever second, her heart swelling with joy and finding peace she had never found before. His gaze locked onto hers with absolute trust and wonder. She pressed a tender kiss to his forehead breathing in his familiar scent, silently promising to protect and cherish him forever.

It was just them, cocooned in their own little world of comfort, safety and joy.

Shikamaru's mother, Yoshino forced a smile, her strong gaze softening as she looked at Misa's innocent face, blissfully unaware of the village's turmoil for now. She didn't have the heart to tell the girl even though Shikamaru had urged her to tell Misa. She couldn't do it. How could she ruin such a moment where a mother bonded with her newborn? Her heart clenched torn between duty and love. The world was in chaos but Yoshino would choose to keep the girl and her child safe, after all this was the girl she had dearly doted on when she was only little.

"You are growing up so fast, Misa," She said, her voice steady and on alert, brushing Misa's hair back, "So are you, Ryu."

"Is something wrong?" Misa asked, not letting the façade slip past her eyes.

"No, I just got emotional seeing your face after such a long time," Yoshino lied, "Y-you should sleep, Misa. You need rest."

With that the woman rushed out of the room, heart almost beating out of her chest. That was near save. Yoshino was stern on her decision even though she couldn't lie that well. She would not let Misa out of the house because deep down, the woman knew. The woman knew if Misa went away this time, the possibility of her coming alive would not be high... and as a woman who was a kin to a mother, a kin to an aunt, Yoshino could not let that happen.

Misa was no fool. The girl knew something was up but she decided she wouldn't pester Yoshino about it. She had deduced maybe it was a personal issue or maybe it was something she didn't want to tell Misa. Obviously she couldn't force the woman to tell her about it, so she wouldn't worry about it the next morning. Involuntarily, her eyes shut in with her child deep in sleep already next to her.

It was then, she saw it.

The terrible string of fate holding them bound like a ball of wool with each thread being a secret.

She gasped. She was standing next to a woman, a woman she had never seen in her life. It was a complete stranger- a woman of striking beauty, an ethereal presence that seemed almost unreal. This woman was insanely gorgeous with black hair tied up neatly, tan skin that would glow whenever sunlight would drop past them, red painted lips and black eyes that could rival Sasuke's raven ones. Misa deduced that she would never cry if she was as beautiful as the woman was or so she thought.
