Chapter 44

Pete and Vegas left their bedroom to go for breakfast. They sat down next to each other and waited for the rest of the family to join them. Just a moment later, Macau arrived and sat with them, he was wondering why the youngest members of the family weren't there yet so he turned to ask the butler to wake them up, right when he was about to open his mouth to pronounce those words, he saw Venice walk to them.

"Good morning" Pete started, Vegas immediately pressed on Pete's foot before he could add anything else and his lover understood the signal. Vegas noticed that his son, who was still standing, was filling a plate with some food. He didn't know if it was better to stay silent or not, however, that hesitation obtained a decent result as well, since Venice noticed that his father was looking at him like waiting for an explanation.

"Rain feels... indisposed this morning, I thought that eating something will make him feel better. See you later" Venice said, his face was calm as usual but his ears were almost bright red.

"No problem, you should tell him that we hope he will get better soon. It would be a pity to miss tonight's event, I can't wait to show off my son in law" Pete said chuckling. His son blushed a little and nodded, then he left. Vegas observed him until he was too far to be seen, then he sighed in relief.

"Guys, haven't you heard some strange noises from Porsche's apartment last night? Maybe we should ask the butler to check if there are mice or some parasites in the walls..." Macau remarked, almost making his brother choke because of that comment.

Pete and Vegas looked at each other, they looked like they were having a silent debate, Macau looked at them perplexed for a while until he got bored and asked directly what was the issue. Pete nodded and decided that it was time to talk:

"I'll tell you only because I don't want you to say anything else regarding the topic in front of Venice and Rain. We believe that they... made love in Porsche's apartment yesterday afternoon... considering that you heard some noise at night I guess that they continued for quite a long time..."

"If you say something in front of them I'll cut your tongue, clear?" Vegas added.

Macau was too stunned to speak, he even dropped his spoon into the bowl because of the shock.

Venice finally reached his partner, who was still on the bed, waiting for him to come back. Venice put the plate on the night table and Rain thanked him with a smile.

"Are you sure that you can come this evening? We won't go if you don't want to" Venice said.

"It's fine... my bottom is just a little bit sore, that's all, I won't have any problem tonight" Rain responded.

Several hours later, it was time to leave. Venice couldn't help but stare at his boyfriend, he looked so good in that elegant suit... and without it. Vegas and Pete were already waiting for them downstairs, in the entrance hall of the house, Macau was with them since he really didn't have anything better to do.

"You look perfect, Rain! Trust me, you'll have fun tonight" Pete said as he finally saw his son's boyfriend. Rain blushed and looked down, Payu raised his lover's chin with his long soft fingers and looked at him in the eyes, then he whispered:

"If you get bored or uncomfortable, we will leave, you just have to say it, ok?"

"No, I don't want you to give up on something you like just for me, stop asking" Rain said with a smile, then he pecked him on the lips and walked to the car.
