Tempest (Payu/Venice X Rain, Love in the air / Kinnporsche crossover)

Chapter 23

Phakin's car stopped in front of the major family's house. As a henchman opened the car door, Rain managed to see who was waiting for him. Payu was standing in front of his entrance with his arms crossed over his chest, he made a rapid gesture to Arm and Pol, who quickly went to the car and grabbed Rain by his arms.

"Take him to doctor Top..." Payu said with the cold tone he had the previous day too. Arm nodded and started pulling Rain to the infirmary. Rain didn't say anything since it was clear that Payu didn't feel like talking to him at all.

"Sit there and wait" Arm said with a slightly annoyed voice as he pushed the boy inside the room. Rain did as he was told and waited for a minute. Then doctor Top finally arrived. Having to deal with such troublesome people, the doctor managed to get a vast experience regarding treatment of various wound, he was so delicate that most of the time the bodyguards didn't even feel like he was touching them at all. However...

"Ouch! It hurts!" Rain shouted in pain after the doctor pressed the cotton too hard on one of Rain's bruises.

"Come on, don't act like a kid..." Top responded.

"Ouch! You're doing it on purpose!" Rain said again, this time the doctor glared at him and the boy murmured an apology and remained silent no matter the pain he was feeling.

"All done. Next time try to think before doing anything... tsk..." the doctor added before leaving the guy alone in the white room.

Arm entered after a while and threw some clothes at him.

"Some clean clothes..." Arm said.

"What the... th.. thank you khun..." Rain replied.

"Tsk, just get them on and leave" Arm added. He was about to turn to leave but he realized that the guy in front of him was starting to shiver.

"Oh come on, seriously? You can't really believe that crying will solve the mess you caused" Arm said with a slightly softer voice.

"I'm so sorry... I can't imagine how hurt Khun Pete can feel right now.." Rain stuttered.

"You will need to say and do much more than that to get someone to forgive you." Arm said and handed him a tissue. Rain nodded and thanked him.

"P'Arm, leave please..." Venice said as he entered the infirmary. The bodyguard left hurriedly and closed the door.

"I'm going to give you one more chance. You have five seconds to explain why you said that, if you can't, then you can leave this house forever" Venice said.

"I don't have to talk to you... I must talk to your father..."

"You hurt me too though, so I deserve an explanation, don't you agree?" Venice asked back.

"You do, that's true... however... I don't want you to think that I'm doing all this just to get back with you... I want to apologize to Khun Pete... then you can do whatever you want" Rain said. He knew he was risking a lot with a response like that but he had to try anyway.

Venice looked at him and sighed, then he grabbed his arm and started pulling him away from that room without even waiting for Rain to change his clothes. Maybe some blood could make him look more pathetic and help with the situation or maybe he just forgot that he was supposed to change his clothes in the first place.

He pushed him inside his car and drove to his house. Vegas was waiting near the window and as soon as he noticed that Rain was with his son, he went to the entrance to send him away.

"Again? Seriously? Do I have to shoot you to make you understand that I don't want to see you ever again?" Vegas started.

"Dad..." Venice replied.

"Shut up! Do you know why I don't want him around? Because your dad will forgive him! Pete will do it for you! How can you be so blind to something that obvious!" Vegas shouted.

"What..." Venice was confused by that but he was slowly beginning to understand.

"This idiot right here came a few hours ago too and I sent him away because I knew what was going to happen! Pete knows how much you love him and will pretend to move on just to see you happy because that's what a father does, but you should understand that this isn't the right thing to do in the first place!" Vegas continued.

"Khun Vegas..." Rain said.

"I don't want to listen to you"

"Khun Vegas. I just want to apologize for what happened... please... let me solve this... " Rain said.

"Vegas what's going on?" Pete asked as he came downstairs hearing people yelling at each other.

"Nothing..." Vegas was about to close the door but Pete stopped him. He looked outside and saw his son and Rain, he sighed and told them to enter.

"Venice, why is your friend here and why is he bruised?" Pete asked.

"Phakin kidnapped him, Rain got beaten for punching Win yesterday" Venice replied.

"Alright... Rain, what do you want to tell me? You should know that I'm not enthusiastic about your visit..." Pete said.

"Khun Pete, what I said was terrible... your love for your son is true and I know it very well... when I said that thing... I... I was scared... I wanted to fight back and I used the first thing that came to my mind. The pain you felt was... unimaginable and I'm sure that there is nothing I can do to heal that wound."

Rain managed to say all that without sobbing nor crying. He stood there and continued until he ran out of words. His heart was in peace now. Pete remained silent for a while and thought about those words carefully.

"Rain, I ..." Pete started. At that point Rain couldn't take it anymore.

"Khun Pete, Khun Vegas, I just want you to know that I'm not like that... do as you wish... ask me to do whatever you want and I'll prove that I'm a better person..." Rain said.

Vegas smirked and added: "I have a better idea. If you manage to convince the whole major family, including their partners... we will allow you to date Venice, do you agree Pete?"
