Chapter 59

"Please, I beg of you, remember to call us when you land, it isn't that difficult, right?" Pete said when his son and his boyfriend were about to leave to get on the plane. Venice smiled cutely and hugged his fathers again, Rain did the same and told Pete:

"Don't worry, I will make sure that P' Venice calls you if he forgets to do so" then they both left while waving at Pete and Vegas.

"Don't make that face, we both know that they will love this moment of their life, stop worrying about accidents that will never happen, our son is able to take good care of himself and of his boyfriend... since Rain is absolutely too clumsy to do it on his own..." Vegas said while driving back home.

"How can you be so calm... yeah... maybe you're right, he's an adult now and I should stop worrying so much but..."

"Pete, listen, they are going to one of the most beautiful cities in the whole world and you act like they are going to a country in a civil war. Try to think about something else, like when we went there for our honeymoon. Don't you remember how nice it was?" Vegas continued.

"That's right..." Pete replied, his voice sounded much more relieved now.

The flight from Thailand to Italy was quite long and boring, especially for Venice, who couldn't talk to anyone since Rain fell asleep just fifteen minutes after the plane took off from the airport. We will leave the two lovebirds in the plane for a while since the reader may wonder how Vegas and Pete's honeymoon in Venice was like.

After waking up from his coma and getting engaged with Pete, Vegas wanted to go abroad to celebrate their union, however Pete always opposed that decision since he didn't want to take Venice around, fearing that the child could get too stressed.

If you ask Vegas now, he will pretend that he has always loved Venice, however, that wasn't the case. At first, he saw the child as an annoying obstacle, a wall between him and Pete. He thought he was right at first, but now he feels ashamed whenever he thinks about it, since he would give his life one hundred times for his beloved son.

He patiently waited for four years, then he finally managed to convince Pete to leave Venice to Kim and Chay for a week, so that they could finally spend some time together again. Pete reluctantly accepted on one condition, he had to be allowed to call Chay and Kim whenever he wanted to have a video call with his dear son.

Vegas wanted to make sure that his dear lover couldn't forget that week together, he booked the most expensive hotel of the lagoon, he looked for all the activities they could do, everything from art to food tourism. There wasn't a single activity of that plan that didn't get chosen carefully.

The meticulous plan got blown away though, since the first two days Pete was too concerned about Venice. Vegas pretended that he didn't care, but he was worried too, he hated to admit it at the time but he missed the little kid.

The third day Pete finally accepted to leave the hotel and go around the city a little bit.

Just a little note regarding Venice's stay with Kim and Chay. The first night, Venice couldn't fall asleep, he knew his uncles very well but he still missed his parents. Chay felt bad because no matter how happy Venice was to play with him, there was no way to make him fall asleep. It may be surprising, but the only one who managed to do it, was Kim, who patiently sat down next to they boy in the bed and murmured nice words in his ears.
