Were they more than friends? I kept a smile on my face as they talked about everything. Riri shared her straight A's with us, as Shuri bragged about her research on nano part tech, which I felt stupid just listening about. I tried my best to seem excited about it, but my mind was focusing on every look, and every touch they shared. I hated it.

"Y/N" Riri startled me "Shuri told me what brought you to Wakanda, but she fail to mention your major...?" She had a sweet smile on her lips.

"Basically... flowers" I laughed. "I mean, everything that has a life in this soil...I'm majoring in agronomics, so as soon as Wakanda opened its doors to the rest of the world, I knew I had to come here, and study it for myself. And Shuri's been such a great help, letting me use her lab and all"

"You invaded my lab" she smirked at me, her eyes piercing through my soul.

"I wouldn't call it invasion... It was more of a cry for help" I felt my eyes focusing on her lips which made her squeeze her eyebrows in confusion "But after a few days I gave up since she was always yelling at me and threatening me of death in case I broke something"

"Witch you did..." her head tilted a bit in my direction as her eyes traced every movement my lips made.

"Not on propose... You started to make me nervous in there" I tried to lighten the mood pointing at the lab above us.

"oh, I did?" Her voice was smooth, almost raspy... As if something changed in her in a matter of seconds.

I stared at her, trying to figure out what was happening, but my heart was racing way too fast, panic was the word, and we weren't even alone. Shit, we weren't alone. I moved a bit, looking back at Riri, who had a smile on her lips, almost enjoying what had just happened, but I could still feel Shuri's eyes on me.

I looked back at her again, her hand was covering her mouth, she moved it along her cheeks, all the way down to her neck before sitting back straight on her chair again.

"Well... I think we should wrap this up now..." Riri cleared her throat hiding her smirk "Shuri are we still up for tonight?"

"Sure," She said calmly, her right hand resting on her knee.

What the hell had just happened? She had never looked at me that way before. At least not that I had noticed. That smile...And the raspiness of her voice. It was the whole thing together. I looked at her checking if she was still looking at me, as disappointment flooded my body noticing she was not. Her eyes were light again, as they settle hours into their plans that night.

Riri was the first to get up, making a queue for us to leave as well. I quickly stood up following her, and I felt Shuri walking behind me, suddenly I was feeling insecure about what I was dressing and the way I was walking. She had always had such a cool and chill style, meanwhile, I was the silly American girl, who loved dresses, and everything with a flower pattern. ugh, childish.

"Wanna join us?" She whispered quickly stepping up and walking right next to me.

"I think I'll pass...Thank you tho" I smiled at her who had her head turned towards me walking with her hands in her pockets.

"You should come... It's going to be fun Y/N" she smiled quickly sliding her tongue through her lips making them a bit wet.

"You two need some time genius!" I smirked at her "It's fine! I'm actually really tired from the hiking I had today"

"Well, if don't want to, I won't insist anymore" she calmly said before looking at Riri ahead "Yo Riri wait up" she ran up a bit catching her up and putting her arm on her friend's shoulder.

After a long-deserved bath and a simple dinner based on some vegetables I had planted on my own, I laid back in my bead grabbed the book my dad had sent me a few days back and started reading as the candle lights made a smooth environment around me. No noise, just the sound of the wind hitting against leaves and trees. It was easy to fall asleep in this place. Not like home. So, after a short few minutes, my eyes won and I crushed against my pillow as gently as possible.

My eyes opened as the sound of footsteps echoed behind my door. I stood still, trying to hear anything, but nothing happened. I slowly got up, walking towards the door, putting my head against it, my hands leaning against the warm wood of it. Suddenly, the sound of the metal lock scared me, making me take a step back, as the door slowly opened letting Shuri in.

"Shit" I gasped as I felt my heart in my throat in panic "Don't ever do that again!" I rested my hand on my forehead.

"Shh" she calmly said, lifting her index finger to her mouth and looking down at me "I'm sorry" she whispered before closing the door.

I turned my back, walking back to my bed, sitting on its edge. "What are you doing here? What time is it?!" I wined pulling my hair back.

"I don't know" she smirked following me to the bed "I just got home"

"Where's Riri?" I asked a bit confused looking around.

"In her room" she smiled as her eyes searched my face for something "Are you mad that I woke you?"

"No!" I chuckled "I'm mad you scared the shit out of me"

"Sorry bout that. I just wanted to tell you something" she said, sitting down next to me, her hand resting on my knee making my spine shiver. "I mean... I wanted to try something" she rectified.

"What?!" I felt my eyebrows squeezing before her fingers traced down my chin lifting it up a bit in her direction. My heart was racing, as fast as I could possibly remember, I swear she could hear it beat. Her face started to come closer to mine, I felt the tip of her nose scrape against mine, and her lips wandered around mine, close enough for me to feel her but not close enough. I looked up at her trying to figure out what she was thinking, as her eyes meet mine, only for a brief second, as she finally locked her lips into mine. Her right hand grabbed my leg, and the other still supported my chin. Her tongue tasted so good. A warm feeling, mixed up with a small amount of alcohol. I felt myself slowly falling onto her, as she pulled back leaving me with an empty sense of nothing.
