I walked out of the bathroom already with my jeans and t-shirt on, but with my towel still wrapped around my hair. Shuri was still lying down when she saw me coming.
"You ready?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
"Do I look ready?" I squeezed my eyes tilting my neck.
She chuckled shaking her head "well It's my turn now" she said getting up with a hand full of clothes in her hand. As she was passing me, she slightly turned her head, her eyes following every little bit of me, but she didn't say a single word.
As I heard her close the door behind me, a sigh of relief came from my lips. I wasn't made for this. Not that strong.
I did my hair and face while she took her bath. I looked around as something hit my gut. Knowing that we had that room all to ourselves, there was nobody around. Not like back in Wakanda.
"What are you smiling at?" Her voice startled me as I turned my head, finding a still fresh out of the shower Shuri standing right in front of me. Her hair was still dripping a little bit, her arms had a different type of glow than normal. I forced myself to stop looking as I noticed the smirk that had grown on her lips.
"Nothing much" I shrugged my shoulders.
"You sure?" She approached me carefully as I simply nodded " you sure you weren't thinking about the fact that this is all ours?" There it was. That sparkle in her eyes.
I tried to hold back a smile, turning my face to the floor, but the touch of her fingers on my chin made it impossible. My eyes looked into hers, and I tried my best to try to understand her. It was impossible. There were times when the lust and desire in her eyes were touchable, and sometimes even more than that, but there was always this huge thing between us like she didn't want to move forward.
"What?" I asked feeling my lips a bit shaky.
She stayed quiet, observing my lips as her fingers traced my skin. "nothing" she shook her head.
"Oh c''mon man..." I sighed closing my eyes before opening them up again "don't do that".
"Do what?" she smirked.
"You know.. the thing where you stare into my fucking soul and say 'nothing'" I said trying to sound like her making her chuckle.
"I don't do that" She smirked biting her inner lip.
"Yes you do, and you know you do" the frustration was growing in me as I spoke.
"I just want to look at you" her shoulders shrugged "Is that a bad thing?"
"Yes. I mean no" I choked a little "You know what I mean Shuri... c'mon"
The smirk was gone, and in its place, a sweet smile had formed. She came a little bit closer to me, pushing her lips against mine, as her hands held my waist, already so acquainted. I slowly followed her, not rushing into it like the times before. I could feel her in my whole body, she was slowly moving against me, as I felt the most awake I had ever been. Her head tilted to the left, opening the way for me to get a better angle to her lips. Our breaths were heavily battling with each other, our chests running at the same rhythm like there was nothing else around us. Her grip became a little heavier on my waist, pulling the fabric on my t-shirt harder and harder, and as I was about to make my hands go a little downer, she pulled back with her eyes still fully close.
"We need to go," she said panting and opening her eyes.
"What?" I whispered noticing I hadn't moved my body at all.
"We need to go.." she cleared her throat "Riri's waiting for us hun".
There was nothing twisted in her eyes, she wasn't trying to get out with some lame excuse. There was just tenderness in her. I slowly took my phone out of my back pocket, looking at the time.
"Shit, we really do" I sighed holding a laugh.
"If we didn't, I wouldn't be stopping this" She said as her upper lip curled into a sweet smile "Trust me".
I smiled at her, as she kissed my cheek one last time before turning her back to grab a coat.
"Now, let's go... It's time to get you drunk" there it was. The smirk.
