"Woah sorry guys" Riri shouted noticing she was interrupting us "shit I'm sorry" she laughed.
I turned around facing her still feeling Shuri's hand on my waist. If I wasn't that drunk I would be having one of the most embarrassing moments of my life, but I didn't care at all so I just smiled.
"We were just talking" I yelled back.
"Sure, that's how I talk to all of my friends," Riri said as I glanced at Shuri who had her head down, running her hand through her head trying to hide a smile.
"What do you want?" She finally said.
"To dance you idiot" Riri raised her eyebrows making me laugh.
I chucked walking towards her, grabbing her hand "let's dance then".
"Imma take your girl Shuri" Riri yelled above my shoulder looking at Shuri who was now staring at us, a little smile on her lips like she was enjoying it.
"I'm not her girl" I laughed while grabbing Riri's arms and starting to move my body to the music around us.
Riri came a little closer, putting her body against mine, following me as I danced with her. I opened one eye, glancing at Shuri who was still watching the whole thing with her arms crossed over her chest and a cheeky smile on her lips. I mouthed a "what" towards her who just shook her head before grabbing her glass again and taking a sip.
Suddenly the music changed into a 2000's hit, and the whole club screamed with enthusiasm. I turned my back to Riri, starting to go down against her, not taking my eyes off Shuri. Riri's hand was in my head, and I heard her laugh out loud almost screaming. I slowly started to make my way up again still rubbing my body against hers.
"I'm gonna get another drink" Riri said kissing my cheek before turning away.
I smiled at Shuri who was now starting to dance as well. We kept dancing, individually, shouting the lyrics of the song. I didn't want it to end. Never. But things have ways to turn around in a matter of seconds.
I felt a large body leaning against me making me turn around. Men. It was a 5'9 guy, with dark hair, reeking of alcohol mixed with cigarettes, and a smile on his face. I turned to him smiling and shaking my head in a "No", but that didn't seem to be enough. He put his hand on my upper arm, still moving his body to the rhythm of the song.
"Can I get you anything to drink?" He asked leaning into my ear.
My eyes were on Shuri who had the angriest look on her face following every move he made. I didn't look away from her as I turn my head to the guy "No thank you" I smiled again.
"Oh c'mon" he smirked as I felt his body brushing more and more against mine.
"I'm with someone" I said finally looking at him losing the smile "You can leave now".
Shuri had already put down her glass as she started to get a little closer to us, she was mad, and her eyes were filled with disgust and rage.
"You look so good" he said making me finally move away from him.
And with that, Shuri made her way towards him, her arms already touching his chest and pushing him away "She said no" she said harshly.
It was a matter of seconds for her hand to hit his jaw, making his head turn to the side. I gasped, feeling anxious about what would happen. What if he hurt her? But no. He was still getting himself straight up when she stroked a second punch on the other side of his face. It was like rage had taken over her whole body like she was a whole different person at that moment. She wasn't going to stop.
My legs were shaking, and my heart was racing but I couldn't let her continue. I ran towards her, trying to pull her back by her arm, but she shook me off right away. I tried my best to deflect my face from her arms as they kept going back and forth striking him in the face over and over again. I finally surrounded her stomach with both of my arms pulling her back into me "SHURI STOP" I yelled as I finally felt her body loosen up a little letting me hold her.
She was still staring at him, heavily breathing, using her wrist to wipe the sweat off her forehead when he finally managed to get up, his eyes flooded with fear, and his hands on his nose trying to stop the blood that was already running down his lips.
"Get the fuck away" Shuri yelled one last time before the poor man made his way out of the crowd.
"Shuri" I mutter turning her around to me "What the hell was that?!" I asked trying to hold back my tears.
"I need to get some air" she said letting herself lose and turning her back to me, leaving me all alone in that circus.
