"You didn't need to be rude to the nurse" I said getting in the car.

Due to Shuri's attitude, we didn't take more than 30 minutes to be done. Everyone was trying their best to be as nice as possible and hurry everything up.

"I knew you would say something as soon as we get into the car" she chuckled "How are you feeling?"

"Really highhh" I laughed making her join me. "I just can't believe I have to wear this shit on my face for a whole damn week" I sighed. "You still think I look good?"

"Always" she smiled at me "Riri called your phone, and I answered it." she said "She was worried and I told her you were fine..."

I nodded leaning my head against the window feeling my eyes starting to close. "I'm really tired" I yawed.

"No..." a laugh came out of her lips "You're really drugged".

"Same thing" I said as I felt my voice shutting down.

I must've passed out, because when my eyes finally opened I was on our bed, wearing my pajamas. I moaned feeling the pain waking at the same time as I did.

"Hey" Shuri was laying beside me wearing some sweatpants and a hoodie "Is it hurting?" she whispered turning around to face me.

"Like hell" I said letting my head hit the pillow again.

"I'm gonna get the pills they gave you" she quickly got up grabbed my backpack and took the little box walking again towards me and sitting beside me.

I put one in my mouth, swallowing it as fast as I could and closing my eyes praying that it would kick immediately. She stayed still looking at me with concern in her eyes.

"You fell asleep in the car, so I brought you inside and dressed you up" she said "I hope that's okay"

I smiled at her, nodding my head trying to ignore the pain, but it was impossible, and it was probably noticeable. "That's not the way I would want you to undress me" I tried to laugh stopping immediately.

"Is there something I can do?" she asked ignoring my failed attempt to flirt.

Her voice was tender, It was rare for me to hear her like that. Almost shaky, and begging.

I patted the side of the bed next to me making her crawl over me, and layed down on her side as close as possible. I felt her heartbeat on my shoulder, noticing how frustrated she was.

"Shuri... you're stressing me out" I chuckled.

"I'm sorry" she whispered "I'm just feeling really useless right now".

"You're not useless... shit... these things happens..." I finally opened my eyes glancing at her. "You are here.. and that's enough for me..." I smiled regretting it instantly as my face burned. "I'm the one who's sorry... I just ruined the whole day..."

"Don't be stupid" she said "it was not your fault" her voice became harsh again. I could see the anger in her eyes once again.

"You know... I don't need for you to protect me every second of my day..." I muttered.

"I like you too" she said.

"What?" I asked turning my face to her.

"The other day... At the MIT campus..." she said looking down "You said you liked me..." I nodded feeling my heart start beating faster. "I didn't reply to you..."

"Yeah..." I mumbled softly noticing the distress in her voice as she finally met my eyes again.

"I like you too". she repeated.

Shuri had a blank expression on her face, I couldn't read it at all. It was like she was scared of me. I saw how hard this was being to her, so I took a deep breath closing my eyes for a second before opening my mouth.

"You chose a really bad time to say that" I smiled pointing at my face.

A smile of relief grew on her lips as her eyes gained that spark again. "Why is that?" she asked.

"What am I supposed to do with that info right now?" I raised an eyebrow making her laugh.

"You're such an idiot" she whispered carefully leaning to me and placing a small kiss on my lips. "See... it can be done".

I looked at her, the pink in her lips was excelling tonight, I swiped my tongue over my lips getting them a little wet, as her body finally relaxed next to mine, her hand still touching my arm. And just like that, we were finally resting.
