Shuri decided not to go right back to Wakanda after leaving Boston, she said she was enjoying breathing new air, so took us to California for a couple of days, staying in a hotel as well.

"I'm running out of clothes" I sighed looking down at my suitcase while trying to decide what to wear.

"You look good with whatever you chose" she smirked glancing at me while putting on her sweatshirt.

I chuckled but kept going through it trying to combine something together. It had already passed lunchtime, and she had told me to get ready because we were finally getting our date.

"Can't you just tell me where you're taking me?" I asked sighing in despair.

"What's the fun in that?" she smirked "Besides, aren't dates supposed to be like this? I take you somewhere without you knowing?" she genuinely asked frowning her brows at me.

"I don't know..."  I laughed "I've never been in one".

"Good. 'Cause me neither" she winked at me. "But don't worry, we're not going anywhere fancy".

I relaxed a little hearing it. What was I supposed to do on a fucking date?? "Man, if you take me to fucking Disneyland, I'm leaving" I laughed making her smirk.

"You think so little of me..." a sigh came out of her lips.

She definitely hadn't lied. Shuri made me take an uber alone towards the meeting place, saying she would be waiting there for me. It was adorable seeing her trying on this. I opened the car door feeling the light breeze on my cheeks, closing my eyes enjoying the sound of the ocean ahead of me. I thanked the driver, slowly walking towards the beach, seeing her sitting on the sand, her face was pointing at the sun, as her curls were flowing back due to the soft wind.

"Hi" I said making her turn around and get up.

"You're late" she chuckled coming closer resting her hand on my back and kissing my cheek.

I looked down, noticing she had a bottle of rose perched on the sand and a sweatshirt next to it "I knew you would be cold" she smirked sitting down and waiting for me to join her.

"You really went for it" I said glancing at her before dressing up.

"Don't get your hopes up... I didn't brought glasses... So we will be drinking from the bottle" she let a chuckle come out of her mouth.

"I'm fine with that" I said taking the first sip out of it feeling her eyes on me "Are you trying to get me drunk?" I smirked.

"What if I am?" she whispered leaning towards me.

"We'll see" I said smiling.

She smiled shaking her head before turning again to the sun and closing her eyes. I kept looking at her, noticing how peaceful she was. Her hands were resting between her legs, her arms over her knees, and her lips were sliglhy curved.

"I miss the sun" she whispered opening her eyes.

"In Wakanda?" I asked looking at her but she just nooded "You're almost going back..."

"I know... It's hard.." she turned to me "I do miss it, but I miss the old Wakanda... Before everything got fucked up"

I felt my heart squeezing hearing those words, but I stayed quiet letting her continue since it was rare for Shuri to speak about it.

"Now everytime I look through my bedroom window, I just see emptniss... It's like Wakanda lost it's sparkle"

"Wakanda didn't lose it's sparkle..." I finally spoke "You lost your sparkle..." her eyes wandered my face while she pressed her lips. "And it's okay... It's understandable..." My hand grabbed hers "But... you are the Queen now, and you're pretty awesome" I smiled making her chuckle.

"You're a little tendencious to talk" she smirked.

"No...'cause way before we..." I swallowed not nothing the word I should use "You know.. were doing this, I already thought you were incredible"

"That's cause you had a crush on me" she frowned her brow flirting a little

"I did not!" I said slapping her arm and making her laugh.

"You did, but we'll talk about that later" she smirked "But... you would really would loved Wakanda before"

"I love Wakanda now..." i whispered.

"You would have love my brother and my mother" she finally said as I notice her eyes squeezing a little.

"I sure that I would've" I whispered.

She took a deep breath before taking a sip from the bottle, swallowing it harsh.

"Look, I don't really know what we are suppose to do in dates babe" she shrugged her shoulder amused.

"I think we're doing pretty good" I felt my body leaning against hers feeling her arm behind me pulling me closer to her.

"I just... really really like you" she sighed before resting her chin on my head as I finally understood the meaning of "home".
