"How are you gorgeous?" Riri shouted pulling me in for a hug, and bringing me as closest to her as possible.
"I'm great babe" I chuckled "And you?" I tilted my head back pulling away.
"I'm exhausted" she sighed "I still think we should be paid for being in college". She laughed a little turning towards Shuri "hey girl". Shuri instantly smiled, going forward as they did their handshake thing "You good?"
"Always" Shuri smiled.
I looked at her still a bit confused about what had happened a second before, but nothing on her face gave me any tips. Did I go on too strong? It's not like I said 'i love you' right?
"So what's the plan?" I asked trying to ease my mind.
"So I was thinking, we could go out for dinner and maybe get a drink somewhere..." Riri smirked shrugging her shoulder.
"It sounds good!" I smiled.
"I just need to go to my dorm, leave my books and backpack, and probably get a shower..."
"I think Y/N also needs to get something a little warmer" Shuri finally acknowledged me as my eyes focused on her noticing she didn't even bother to look at me.
"Probably... I didn't know it would be this cold here" I laughed as Riri took a look at my dress.
"Okay, so I'll give you guys a call whenever I'm ready.., Is that okay?" She sighed resting her hands on her backpack straps.
"Sure" Shuri winked at her.
We decided to walk to the hotel and emerged in silence all the way through. I didn't want to be the one to have the first word, so I focused on the things around me. People were staring at me like I was an alien, due to my choice of clothes, and who could blame them?
"Hey, there's a store, we should go inside and find you something to wear" Shuri finally muttered.
I looked around to face her, her eyes were trying to see inside the store, still not looking at me.
"It's okay " I whispered turning back around ready to keep walking.
"C'mon... Don't get all sassy with me" she called me back "You know you're freezing your ass off" I heard the teasing in her voice before turning around. She had her eyes focused on me, standing still on the sidewalk, her head tilted towards the store.
I smiled at her, slowly making my way entering the store, trying my best to ignore her. We looked around, finally getting to the conclusion that everything was absolutely shit. We went back out and stood still before Shuri turned her head to me with a smirk on her face.
"So that was shit" she chuckled making me laugh. "Oh, there it is.,. Still got it" she whispered to herself filled with pride.
"Shut up" I rolled my eyes turning my back and starting to walk again.
"Nevermind," she said running up to catch up with me "You look better with my clothes anyway" she shrugged her shoulders.
We finally got to the hotel, where I finally was able to stop shivering due to the heat they had. The elevator took us up, Shuri opened the door, staying behind to let me in first, which made me hold back a smile.
"Do you want to take a bath?" She asked me, closing the door, and putting down the key on the little chiffonier. I stared at her, not knowing exactly what she was asking me, as she started laughing before walking towards me, resting her hands on my waist and leaning her head into my ear. "Don't worry... I won't be joining you" she whispered making my whole body shiver.
"Oh" was the only sound my mouth was able to make.
"Unless you invite me in" she smirked now staring into my eyes, not letting go of me.
I looked at her, flooded with confusion. I didn't like what had happened at MIT, and I sure wasn't going to let that slide that easily.
"No, thanks. I'll take that bath all by myself" I forced a smile, pulling away from her, grabbing a t-shirt and trousers from my suitcase, and making my way to the bathroom leaving her staring at me.
I closed the bathroom door, staring at the huge mirror on it. My nose was red from the cold, and my hair was an absolute mess. I stared into my own eyes, mad that I didn't have said a word to her about what had happened, and in a minute, I felt the urge to make her feel as bad as possible. I took off my dress, putting on the t-shirt, staying only in my underwear, before opening the bathroom door and heading out.
Shuri was laying back on her bed, switching the tv channels. Her head turned towards me the minute she heard the doorknob. She traced me with her eyes, and I could see the desire in them, as she slowly slid her tongue through her lips.
"I forgot my phone" I smiled at her as innocently as possible " You know.. to put some music on"
She smirked sitting up straight "Are you sure you don't want me to join?".
"Pretty sure" I proudly answer turning my back leaving her to see me walk back to the bathroom and closing the door.
"I know what you're doing" I heard her shouting from behind the door.
And just like that, I felt proud of myself again.
