"It's good that you are in good shape now. Your health has drastically improved, you look stronger and healthier than you were even before the accident."

"It was no accident Marcellous. Call it for what it was, an ambush and by our fucking brother at that."

"Calm down Dario-

"HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD. I NEED ANSWERS!" I have been back home for almost six months now after being gone for a year. It infuriates me every time I think on the situation I got myself in. To think that we were blind sided enough to find ourselves in such a predicament. I lost some of my men, lost my wife and almost lost my life. To think that Mario fuckin Romano was behind this. If Rafael was alive today he would have a field day with this. It would be the joke of the century to him.

"No one knows how Mario survived or where he has been all this time but at least we know his plan. We have leverage. We know he will be coming for us, for the empire, our family name and everything it stands for. I am grateful to have you back brother, I don't know how you escaped and I know you prefer not to speak on it."

"I almost did not make it if I am being brutally honest. Escaping the mansion was one thing but to get the chance to leave Russia was an entirely different story. I am certain they had to have knocked me out, probably drugged me to bring me to the country in the first place. He has two close associates—companions if you will; a woman and a man. I only saw the man once. He is a Russian—to be precise, I recognized him as the leader of their bratva. I have no idea how deep their alliance goes but he seems to be a loyal dog to my twin brother. The woman however, turns out to be the Black widow that much Mario confirmed for me himself. He was careful not to tell me much but still careless enough to say anything at all. He was far too confident that I would be a dead man. His biggest mistake was not killing me on sight. Now a blood war is coming to his front door."

"We have to discuss this thoroughly. We cannot face him without knowing who else he has on his payroll. We need to figure out how far Mario's influence reaches before we do anything rash and as for your wife-

"What about Kiara? What do you have for me Marcel. It's been long enough." Marcel did a good job at becoming the successor to the empire during my absence. It isn't anything he particularly wanted to do, in fact Marcel was always content on remaining as my underboss. Like our late brother Rafael, he was never too interested in being in charge.

"Kiara is more than likely out of the country or she would have been spotted by now. There is no way possible she would be able to remain hidden for so long while in Italy. Surely, she would have to go out at some point for essentials and someone would have recognized her easily. After all, she is STILL a missing person and a Romano at that."

"I need my wife back home Marcel."

"We're working on it. I have specialist on the sidelines. If there is any indication of her presence online, we will be alerted the very second she uses any credit card. I also hired a PI-

"Who did you hire?"

"Damon, he is currently out of country on a lead actually. As to what that lead is, I have no clue. Kiara will be back Dario, I have faith."

"I know apart of you wishes she doesn't return Marcellous. You always did pity her."

"Sí, but I cannot imagine how more dangerous and unhinged you will become without her for much longer. Also I believe Matteo needs his mother as much as he needs his father. He is a growing boy and you two have both missed quite a bit of his life."

"I was a hostage for a full fucking year in a foreign country Marcellous so I think I know that I've missed out on much. Nearly two years later and my wife is still missing."
