"I have to admit, tonight turned out way better than I expected."
"No business calls, no children-
"Just us, exactly. We needed this. It had been too long Mr.Romano."
"To think that Mrs.Romano would invite me out on a date." It's almost comical. I wasn't expecting that from her at all but Kiara never ceases to amaze me.
It's been a few months since she returned from her México trip. We got into a huge argument the night she arrived home. Of course it was about her family, her mother more specifically. The woman is unhinged and between her and the famous Venice I'm not sure who is worse. To think that Kiara is related to these people and she had the nerve to be pose criticism upon the Romano family. Now look at where she comes from. It's the joke of the century if you asked me. The very life she tried so hard to run away from would've caught up to her one way or another.
The last couple of months we've really been focused on work and raising our sons. Nothing else mattered. We were buried in work and despite living in the same house, sharing the same bed, we hardly saw much of each other. She would wake up in the early hours of the morning to hit our indoor gym then shower before having breakfast. By the time she's having breakfast I'm getting ready for the day and if I'm lucky I'll catch her in the kitchen and then see her again later in the night.
"So I was thinking maybe we take a mini vacation, just the two of us." She announced once we were settled in the car.
"We're both too busy to take a vacation Kiara." I pointed out honestly.
"Not like a real vacation, think of it more like a getaway. Only for a weekend that's all." She explained.
"Where would we go and what about our sons?"
"Dario, Camilla is always down to watch them plus she'll have the nanny to help her. Even Kairah looks forward to spending time with them."
"You sound like you already have it figured out. Where did you want to go and which weekend?"
"This weekend actually and I was thinking to the island. This will be our final chance to visit there before it officially opens to the public because the hotel opens from next week. We have never even went there together so."
"Alright let me make sure I don't have any important meetings this weekend first."
