"Cavolo Kiara, hai mai sentito parlare di bussare?"
(Gee Kiara, have you ever heard of knocking?)
"Have you ever heard of locking the door, Damon?" I firedback.
"What can I help you with bosslady?"
"Why are we here Damon? Dario isn't telling me anything."
"Yet, he is the only person who can actually give me authority to tell you anything so until I get that green light my lips are sealed."
"You do everything Dario tells you?" I baited him.
"Nice try but I value my pockets and my life so sí, I do. I can't say the same thing about you though."
"We've been cooped up in this place for two days now. I need to know why."
"So you can ask him yourself, he'll be here in ten minutes." Well that's good news I suppose. I haven't seen Dario since he sent me away to this place which is apparently a safe house according to Damon. I never even knew he had those but I guess given his line of work it should have been anticipated. We haven't really spoken much either—not since he got upset about me preparing a will for my son. Damon, Dario's mom, Matteo and I have been here for two days. I haven't heard nor seen Dario since but I know he keeps tabs on me through Damon. That isn't enough though. I need answers. Kiana has been missing for four days now and I'm getting more anxious by the day. Every hour that goes by could be one hour closer to her death if she isn't already dead. I've been telling myself she is still alive. I mean she has to be right? Four days is a long time sure but still, in times like this I'm suppose to be optimistic.
I left Damon's room and went into the kitchen where Matteo was being fed by his grandmother. Of all persons for me to be stuck in this house with. The woman gets on my nerves.

As Damon said, within ten minutes Dario arrived. He went straight to his mother and got Matteo from her hands.
"How are you wife?"
"I'm fine Dario, now tell me what is happening and why are we here? Why move us from the mansion? What don't you want me to see?" I bombarded him with questions.
"I'm not hiding anything from you Kiara, I'm trying to keep you safe."
"Since when isn't the mansion safe?" The place is flooded with well trained killers as security detail. Has a wall no cat could climb and a huge freaking electric gate not to mention that someone would have to be awfully bold to try to attack us there. It's located in a remote area. Dario owns the miles of land before and beyond it. There are no other houses anywhere nearby other than those that are in the family name for instance the house Marcellous and Ayana live in. The estate is a freaking fortress. It doesn't make sense.
"What aren't you telling me Dario? It's been almost a week since Kiana has been taken. What updates do you have on her whereabouts. Please tell me you have something! I'm going insane trying to keep my cool. Surely you know something by now."
"The area the vehicle was found had no footprints or anything that indicated there was anyone else there which lead us to believe someone pushed the vehicle off road making it land in the ditch. However, I believe she was already out of the vehicle by then or there would have been a sign of struggle either between her and another person, or her simply getting out of the vehicle. The drivers side was trapped so she would've had to force her way out of there. There weren't any cameras in that area so we weren't able to pick up footage from what actually occurred."
"You aren't telling me any good news here Dario."
"However, considering the lengths we went to in order to ensure no one knew of Kiana's affiliation to us, I am almost certain that Mario is behind this. After all he knows the connection between you two and from what I know, he is in town. Not only that, but shortly after Kiana left the house that night approximately 50meters away from where her vehicle was found, a car full of Russians made a stop at one of the bars downtown and left quite a mess. Calculations indicate that there is a high possibility the estimated time Kiana was abducted is within range of when these Russians made a scene at the bar. When I think Russians, I think Mario. He was spotted two days ago but has been off the grid since. I am uncertain whether or not he is still in Italy but I will find him and he will get what's coming to him whether Kiana is alive or dead. I give you my word, he will not get away with this." One time he is promising to find her alive and the next he is promising to avenge her. He has clearly lost faith that things will turn out as I am hoping.
"Don't make me promises you cannot keep Dario." If he had any control over the situation, we would not be in this predicament. If he won't save Kiana then I will and I have an idea of how to do so too. I just need to find a way out of here.
