Dario POV

"Dario your mom is on her way to the hospital with Marcel, you need to calm down and better yet go be with your family."

"Calm down? Luciana I don't think you understand the gravity of this situation."

"It's not the best but it also isn't the worst."

"Lucy, two of my properties were just raided, three if you include my mother's house. She was so stressed about the situation, she had to be rushed to the hospital because of her high blood pressure. My children are none the wiser but it still scared them and my wife was suppose to be back home by now and I can't seem to reach her. Everything is falling to shit."

"Dario I'm sure Kiara is fine and this too shall pass. It's big news now but it will come to pass. People forget these things after a while. It's the talk of the town now because it's trending that's all."

"I don't give a fuck about what people are saying, I care about protecting my family."

"You should give more than a fuck because it's a risk to your reputation. This doesn't look good at all not for you or anyone in alliance with you and your family. It doesn't just affect you and your family. You should lay low. Don't give them any more ammunition to use against you."

"I haven't given them anything in the first place."

"You're telling me that those electronics have nothing incriminating on them?"

"It'll be handled is what I'm saying. They underestimate how technologically advanced we are. The intelligence of the men who work for me are beyond the comprehension of their simple minds. Anything can be remotely accessed, transfer and deleted if need be so again, they have nothing but a bunch of expensive electronics at their disposal. They'll be lucky to even get family photos by the time they're done trying to hack through all the firewalls."

"Okay and what about your phones?"

"Any saved conversation on our phones are spoken in code. I doubt they'll decipher those. I'm not too worried about those materialistic things Lucy. What I need is to find out my wife's whereabouts. The pilot said she never made it back to the airport, that's a red flag."

"I see why you would be concerned but try to focus on the things that you have control over from here like your mother's health. You should join your family at the hospital. In the meantime I will work overtime to figure out what the heck is really happening here and find out who issued those warrants and on what grounds. Something just doesn't feel right about any of this."

"Get on that for me urgently." She nodded and I showed her to the door before going to check on my children.

Kiara POV

Dario is probably besides himself wondering why I haven't arrived as yet. He is probably already in Sicily searching high and low for me. Then again, with everything that happened at the house maybe he is too occupied to come to my aid. In that case, it means I'm on my own for the while. Nothing scary about it, I' an independent woman. I've been in far worse situations. I know my fucking rights so eventually they're going to have to allow me a phone call. The question is who do I call. I can't fuck up that chance. The obvious answer is my husband but I have no idea what frame of mind he is in right now. He could be mentally underwater trying to sort out everything back home. To put this on his plate as well is a bit much. Plus, what if I don't even reach him. Dario mentioned something about the feds confiscating all electronics including the kids tablets which is fucking ridiculous. What the hell do they expect to find on our children's iPads? Anyway, when I spoke to him earlier it was on a brand new number which I obviously didn't have the time to memorize in such short notice. If I call the house line and don't get through to him, I'm fucked. I could dial the only lawyer's number that I know off the top of my head but then how long will it take her to get here from Milan. It's a lot of people that I could call but considering what I know, I have no idea if they're reachable at the moment but thankfully a thought crossed my mind . I should really be more grateful for how good I am with numbers because if it wasn't for that capability, I wouldn't have been able to call Teresa. Yup, I used my one and only call on mother Teresa herself. I thanked the heavens when she picked up on the first ring. I relayed the events of what had happened to her and she assured me she would be there soon. Thank God she was still in the city, that made her my best option right now. After the phone call they brought me back to the call. Despite never being arrested, I have an idea of how this works so the fact that they hadn't officially booked me was puzzling. Then again, it was obvious from the get-go that this entire scheme was a setup so why would they start going by the books now. I'm 100% certain that the police officer was the one who planted the cocaine in my bag. Pretty fucking convenient that I bypassed the airport's security undetected and the only other person who touches my bag magically finds drugs in it. How did they even knew that I was in the city or that I allegedly had drugs on me when I hadn't been in contact with anyone besides Teresa since I arrived. They must really take me for a fool. Suddenly one of the men who brought me in came to unlock the cage they had me locked in. I was surprised that Teresa got here that swiftly but grateful nonetheless. He told me to follow and I did thinking that he was escorting me to the front to retrieve my belongings and be released but instead he was leading me to the back. He brought me to an office and opened the door for me to enter.
"Wait here." Was all he said before shoving me inside. I know what an interrogation room looks like. I took a sit in one of the single chairs across the desk and waited until a woman walked in.
