Kiara

The place bad been dead silent for days. I haven't left the room at all either but every time I wake up from slumber there is a tray of food on the nightstand. I don't even know at what point they tidied up the mess I made. I'm usually not a heavy sleeper so I don't know how I slept through it all. The bed is still a mess though I suppose it's because I'm always on it. I haven't even left the room or a shower yet. It should be embarrassing the state my hygiene has been but quite frankly I couldn't care less. In fact, I wish my funky smell would keep them far away from me but as always whatever I wish for, I get the opposite reaction.

I watched annoyed as the door opened and Mario walked in casual attire. I stood in the door way with his hands in his pockets and glanced at the tray still full of food. With a sigh and a shake of his head as if he was exasperated, he began walking towards the bed.

"Don't." I spoke up first. He halted his steps but raised a brow at me in question.

"What do you want Mario?"

"I thought we agrees that you would eat."

"WE didn't agree to anything." I corrected him. He told me to eat and I decided I wouldn't. Why would I eat my stomach full when my bestfriend can't even breathe. Kiana is all that I've been thinking about. I don't even know where her body is. I wondered what they did with it. Probably tossed it in some body of water like I'm guessing they would one of their enemies. She doesn't deserve that. She deserves to be mourned even if it's only by me. She deserves a headstone, and a private memorial for the people who would miss her, like myself and Matteo.

"Why are you crying?" I didn't even realize that I was. I harshly wiped my tear stained face, tired of crying as I glared at him.

"What the hell did you do with her?"

"With who?"

"Don't play stupid Mario. What did you do with Kiana's body?"

He remained silent for seconds that stretched as though it was minutes. God, it must be worst than I thought. Maybe they shredded it like they would meat in a meat shop. The thought alone had my eyes burning with fresh tears. I could feel the bile in my throat forcing to come up.

"Kiana is alive. She is in the hospital." Did I hear right?

"What did you say?"

"She is being treated at the hospital. Lucky for you both, Stefano isn't a perfect shot as I am or the bullet would've surely taken her heart. You should be grateful you weren't shot in the crossfire as well. I can take you to her once you've cleaned yourself up."

I know I should feel happy but the only thing I felt was rage.

"Why the fuck did you let me believe she was dead all this time then!? You could've told me she survived Mario. What kind of fucking games are you playing here?"

"I am not playing any games with you. I simply didn't want to give you false hope that she is alive incase she did not make it but her vitals seem to be fine, and they're keeping a close eye on her as per my request."

"You're a monster."

"To many yes, but I just saved your best friend's life."
