"There goes Valentina." Marcel spoke as we observed from the shadows. We just arrived and have been hidden in a far blind corner.
"I'm not surprised she's in attendance, like I said killing three birds with one stone."
"Mario has not made his presence known as yet. If he isn't here-
"I have a feeling he will be here. Mario's whole motive behind marrying Stefano is for a strong hold on the Russian mafia, that I am certain. This alliance is solely dependent on his relationship with the leader they have followed for years. It will be in his best interest to stay close to Stefano at all times like a fucking tail even to attend the most insignificant events such as this auction."
"That makes sense but we still do have to consider the chance of him not being here at all."
"If not here, where else would he be?"
"They do have two captives they need to keep an eye on. We both know Kiara alone is a handful."
"Fucking assholes, probably have them locked up likes birds in a cage on a property well guarded, so they wouldn't be any need for him to stay back."
"As I said, Kiara is a handful. They have had them in Russia for a decent amount of time so believe me, they have learnt that the hard way by now. She is like a prized possession to them. Their ultimate trump-card against you. They would not want to risk losing her at all."
"Khaira scoped the place earlier and apparently Stefano disappeared into a back room about an hour ago. She's willing to try to slip in to see-
"No, that would be too dangerous. She has no idea what lies behind that door. She could be walking into trouble. It wasn't part of the plan and Carlos would have your head."
"It is ultimately her decision Marcel, she suggested it."
"Sí but you are the man in charge. You know we're following your orders. If you tell her to stay put then she will."
"No one in that room knows her. They won't suspect her."
"They will if whatever is going on in there are for a selected few which she obviously isn't apart of."
"You worry too much sometimes Marcellous."
"And you don't worry enough Dario."
"Everything will go according to plan."

Kiara

"If outside is so interesting, maybe you should be there instead of babysitting me."

"Do you feel like I'm babysitting you?" He questioned turning to face me.

"I know you aren't supposed to be here tonight."

"And where am I supposed to be Kiara?"

"Wherever Valentina and Stefano went to earlier."

"Mhm.."

"Mario..just out of curiosity where did they go to anyway?" It's none of my business but if they were all supposed to be gone tonight why is he here? Maybe it wasn't any place of importance.

"In this lifestyle, surely you know the less you know the better."

"That isn't always true though. Sometimes not knowing enough puta you in jeopardy."

"And did Dario always keep you informed about his whereabouts?"
