"It's not but can you ask her to get it over with. We need to leave before Luca finds us here."

"WHAT? Why would you—Kiana I'm fine really. Luca is going to report this to Dario and he is going to lose his shit once he finds out I'm in the hospital. Hell, he might even penalize Luca for me getting hurt".
Kiana and I thought it was a good idea to ditch Luca while we escaped for a little freedom. After all we were safe in a different country and we just wanted one night without him operating like our shadow—well my shadow. We managed to make our way to a nightclub. It was all good until a guy decided to get handsy with me. I shoved him off me easily because he was drunk and light in his feet but his psycho girlfriend accused me of attacking her boyfriend and tried fighting me. I was legit winning the fight then her weak ass swung at me with a knife which is what landed me in the hospital. Kiana isn't exactly nurse material so we had no choice but to come here to allow the professionals to attend my wound. I just wished he hadn't called Luca after all.
When Luca arrived he was furious. I mean he tried to hide it, I think but it was all over his face. Dario probably gave him an earful expressing his anger and disappointment I'm sure. Getting tricked and ditched by two women. He has got to be feeling embarrassed as well.
The ride back to the hotel was silent. Neither of us had anything to say and I could still feel a little pain despite the meds I took before leaving the hospital. This trip is definitely one for the books. My time on a girls trip and I not only get in fight at the club but managed to get stabbed as well. I hope we laugh about this later. For now, I'm worried about what Dario will do. I know him well enough to know that he is upset with me as well. As soon as we returned to the hotel Luca handed me his phone and I dreaded the conversation once I saw 'Don Romano' on the screen. I already felt like crying so I retreated to my room for some privacy where I took the call.
To say that my husband was furious would be an understatement. You would think your partner would appear to be concerned for your wellbeing but instead he was enraged that I had gotten myself in that position in the first place. Lucky for me.. I guess he mostly blamed Luca. He even threatened to cut the trip short and as fair it might seem to him, I don't think we deserved that. I pleaded with him to allow us to continue especially since we were to leave for Sicily tomorrow. I guess negotiations really can happen with us after all because he allowed it granted that Luca stays at our side at every moment.
