I was suppose to be on my way to a brunch

I was suppose to be on my way to a brunch. I have a meeting with Liam Johnson this morning regarding our offshore account. Now I might not even make it on time because Matteo's school called me asking to meet this morning, something about a fight. It's literally only been a month since he has enrolled in the damn school and I'm already being called in. I hope it's nothing too bad.

I make some coffee and french toast to carry with me and grab my Audi keys before leaving through the front door. I get to the school and walk through the entrance doors. The hall is lined with kids at their lockers and walking to their next class most likely. I get quite a few stares but ignore them and strut on.

"It's Kiara Romano."

"That's Matteo's mom."

"Damn she's hot." These little fuckers have no respect for a grown woman.

The whispers of young teens caught by my ears. I almost shake my head at their unnecessary astonishment. Remembering where the principal's office is, I find it in no time and Matteo is sat with a busted lip.

"The morning has barely begun and that's the state of your face."

"The other guy looks way worse and he deserved it." He muttered in response. He must be mistaking me for his father because this sure as hell isn't what I want to hear.

"Mrs.Romano good morning, I'm glad you made it so quickly." The principal addressed me.

"Yes of course, now what is the problem this morning?"

"Matteo started a fight with a classmate this morning. That student left the premises with a black eye, missing teeth and a broken hand according to the nurse's report. Unfortunately as a star player on the rugby team it means he will be forfeited to partake in the upcoming competition on Wednesday."

"Jesus Matteo." I mumbled holding my head in my hands. "He will apologize—

"What!?" He jumped out of his chair like I just wounded him.

"Sit.down." I spoke through gritted teeth. This was embarrassing enough. She must be thinking that I raised a rugrat. She also made it very clear the many restrictions the school had and how seriously they take their reputation, which is why she was hesitant to accept our application in the first place.
"I can fund the boy's medical expenses-

"Waving money around won't fix the problem Mrs.Romano." Bitch now who tf said that. I was trying to be helpful here. Why is she speaking to me like I'm one of her students.

"Yes well I can't exactly fix his broken arm or wave a wand for his teeth to sprout back or unblack his eye now can I? Money is the only thing I have currently that may hinder his burdens at the moment."

"Incase you have forgotten ma'am, with the exception of the scholarships students, everyone else is financially well off, so again.. your money isn't going to do a thing for anyone in this situation." You've got to be kidding me.
