"You don't seem surprised to see me Carlos."
"I was expecting you to show up soon cousin. It was no coincidence that Khalid reached out to me in the midst of your war with the Morrettis. I figured if he didn't bring me back with him, you would show up eventually. Tell me cousin, how do you expect to convince me to partake in this war which has absolutely nothing to do with me?"
"I didn't come all the way to Mexico to try to convince you of anything Carlos. I came as a collector. You will come with me willingly or by force but you are coming."
"You come to my country to threaten me. You're even bolder than I remember. This isn't Italy, you're on my turf now. Keep that in mind."
"Your turf? You're fighting for said turf with different cartels. All of which are trying to take you out to be in full control."
"I didn't realize you invested your precious time and interest in Mexican cartels Romano."
"I only have surface knowledge and I try to stay a bit informed for the simple fact that my idiot cousin would rather be here than in the Romano mafia with the rest of his family."

"Testardaggine del cazzo" (Fucking stubbornness) I muttered growing irate. I don't have time for the back and forth chatter.
"Whatever your quarrel with your father I couldn't care less but this IS a family matter. The Russians aren't coming for just my head they're coming for everything we are, everything we've built, everything we own, all that we stand for."
"That sounds like a YOU problem. Make no mistake, I acknowledge you as my family always. Blood didn't make us what we are, we know that but still we are what we are. Even still, I have established a good life for myself here away from the Romano empire. I am not under your wing Dario. I don't owe you a thing, and so I refuse to offer you a hand in this matter."
"So you would leave your family in time of need?"
"Dario-
"Forget me, are you telling me you will not offer aid to your brother and sister. Are you willing to bet Killian and Kairah's life-
"¡BASTA! (Enough; spanish translation) Don't drag them into this." He rose from his chair seemingly upset. Finally he dropped the cool, calm and collective facade. I was getting under his skin now and rightfully so.
His men surrounding me had their guns out and ready like I would pounce at any moment. I wouldn't, but it's good that they are on alert. Maybe we could use them as well.
"We are at war Carlos. Not me alone, WE. It is the family involved. The family they're trying to wipe out not I alone. Are you telling me you're willing to turn your back on family in time of need? The family that took you under their wing and treated you as one of their own. You may not legally carry our surname but you are a Romano all the same. You think you're safe hiding it out here in Mexico? How long until Mario comes looking for you as well? What will you do then? Surely, not beg for our help IF we're still alive."
