"I can't believe I arrived here and you're still not dressed Kiana. I don't like having Luca like a guard dog but I also don't particularly like to make him wait on me."
"That's literally his job Kiara, relax. Besides you can help me choose an outfit."
"You've changed outfits like three times already."
"Okay the next thing you choose I'm going with I promise."
"I hope so." And she did infact wear what I chose. Thank God.
She grabbed her luggage and we packed her bags in the car. Well, Luca packed it for her. A gentleman, I must say. Sadly that reminds me of Lorenzo. From time to time I find myself thinking of him and Valentino. They were with me during my worst times and although I didn't like then at first eventually they grew on me. Now they're both gone. Died protecting me, as their job instructed them to do. I hate when people die for me. I will always hate this lifestyle.
"Hello earth to Kiara, what happened to no making Luca wait?"
"Sorry I spaced out, let's go." I actually managed to convince Dario to allow me some time away from Italy. A nice girls trip is what I had in mind. Getting his approval was mind blowing. This is my first time leaving the country without him. I was disappointed that he insisted Luca tag along but I wasn't surprised. The man is a paranoid at this point and I wish I could fault him for it. Unfortunately, time and time again it has proven that I have a tendency for getting myself into trouble. We're traveling to France for a week on one of Dario's private jet. Hopefully one our way back we can convince the pilot to make a round trip back to Italy so we can pass through Sicily. I've always wanted to visit there.
"Oh this is going to be awesome! We're going to have so much fun and not a care in the world." Kiana gushed. She had been extreme happy lately. I mean she seems lighter since we were rescued from the Morrettis. More carefree than her usual self and she no longer dwells on our predicament. Then again, at this point we both had to accept that we were in this for life. There's no going back especially after everything we've been through.
