Kiara
"You said she wouldn't be a problem Marcellous, look at him!"
"Kiara calm down, it's not his fault you know." Camilla tried to reason.
"He is covered in bullets Camilla. For all the confidence they had he shouldn't have a scratch!"
"I think we're just as worried for our brother as you are but you need to lighten up. No one wanted this to happen."
"It's fine Camilla, he'll be fine Kiara." Camilla's comment knocked some sense into me. What tf was I doing? I had no reason to be upset with anyone, at least not them. Their brother was fresh out of surgery and just got three bullets removed from his body. The last thing they need is his wife yelling and playing the blame game right now. I don't even know why I cared so much. Was I worried for Dario? This is truly making my head spin. Camilla and I were suppose to be taking the jet out of the country tonight but clearly there can't be any traveling tonight after everything that went down. Who would've thought Valentina would be able to send Dario in the hospital. I mean it had to be her right? Who else was working with Beatrice and Alessia? Although from what Leonardo reported, Beatrice was a casualty in the cross fire. None of this made sense to me. Hell, who am I kidding of course it wouldn't. This life wasn't meant for me. I stick out like a sore thumb here. I'm not fooling anyone acting all tough. I am way out out of my league here.
"Mamma?" The little voice croaked from the door.
" Gesù, perché Matteo è sveglio? Non dovrebbe vedere suo padre in questo stato." Jesus, why is Matthew awake? He should not see his father in this state.
"All the noise must've woken him up. I can take him back to bed if you want." Camilla offered.
"No that's okay, I'll take him." I grabbed Matteo's hand and led him out of the room. Having a mini hospital room at home is convenient for obvious reasons but there's always the possibility of our son seeing graphic things a little boy his age shouldn't be exposed to like his father bandaged from being shot."Well Kiara, welcome to Mexico." We postponed our flight for a week while Dario recovered from his injuries. He is still not fully healed obviously but he is determined to track down Valentina and Alessia for setting him up.
"Woww, it's beautiful from up here."
"It's just as beautiful down below trust me. This is going to be an amazing trip." Camilla gushed.
"I just hope I carried enough sunscreen." I joked.
"I hope you carried your translator too because last time I checked your spanish was terrible." She joked. I'll admit that it was in fact, the first time Dario spoke to me I foolishly thought he was speaking Spanish. Now I feel stupid wondering how I even mixed up the two languages. However, being a simple housewife for most of my recent years I had nothing but time on my hands to read endlessly in the library at home. I even touched up on my foreign languages. Now I'm so fluent in Italian and Spanish that I feel confident enough to teach Matteo. My french still needs work unfortunately so I won't be attempting that one in a hurry.
Once we made it to the resort we were staying at, we dumped our bags in the room and went to check out the place. Of course we ended up stopping for drinks.
