Chapter 32-The Sekai Taikai

Today is the big day cobra kai is training out for another tournament.....the biggest tournament in the world......the sekai taikai.

As I head out to get some breakfast I ran into Mr Larusso "Haley....look I'm sorry for the things I've said before and not keeping my promise to you." Mr Larusso said as he stood in front of me "yeah I'm sure you are Mr Larusso.....but I don't care." I replied as I tried to walk away "I'm going to help you Haley.....that I swear to you." Mr Larusso said "you know my father told me about how he used to train you in the way of the fist." I replied smirking "that was a long time ago." Mr Larusso replied

"Yeah.....but you still remember the things my father did to you." I said as he looked at me in fear " I swear to you Haley.....that'll bring the real you back." Mr Larusso replied as he stepped closer to me "you think that you can bring the old Haley back.....well guess what you can't....the old Haley is gone and she is never coming back.... Oh and good luck at the tournament tryouts by the way I've heard the judges are strict with letting in little bitchy dojos." I said mockingly as I walked out and headed back to the dojo.

"Alright everyone class dismissed.....I want you all to go home and get plenty of rest for tomorrow's tryouts for the sekai taikai." My dad said as the class left but I stayed behind to continue practicing. As I was practicing my kicks and punches on a dummy I hear someone walk in "burning the midnight oil." Silver said walking in on me getting some last minute training before the tryouts tomorrow " yeah I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight dad..... I figured I might as well get some extra practice in right." I replied slightly out of breath from practicing "you've got the pre-fight jitters." He said sympathetically.

"Well whoever they put up I'll be fighting someone with a bit more experience they'll be bigger than me...stronger than me." I said nervously "hey.....don't count yourself out.....before I started training in the way of the fist,you know what they used to call me?"he said moving closer to me as I shake my head at him "twig." He replied "really?" I said in shock of what he just told me "oh,yeah.....didn't let it stop me.....you're on your way to becoming one of the best.....Larusso, Lawrence, Diaz ,Keene .....they've all had their time in the sun....now it's your turn." He said to me "okay." I replied proudly.

"Let me show you a little something......my master taught me this years ago I've made a few tweaks. I call it the silver bullet." He said getting into fighting position "that's good." I said smiling "you like that,huh?" He asked her "hell yeah.....it sounds badass." I replied "if you strike with the right speed and trajectory right between the ribs, you can cause your opponent significant damage,literally take their breath away." He said as he demonstrates it to her.

"But.....dad you already get a point for hitting the chest. Why go for extra damage?" I questioned "because the shortest distance to victory in a fight is to take out your opponent with one shot." He sadistically replied "show me again." I said with an evil smirk on my face.

The next day rolls around and it's finally tryout time so as the judges arrive we get ready to fight "for our first round of fights we will have the best fighter from each dojo and that will be Eli moskowitz and Haley silver." The judge said as we make our way to the mat.

As the match starts I throw a series of punches and kicks landing a kick to hawk's stomach "point! 1-0 silver." The ref said as we continue to spar as hawk tries to kick me but I grab his leg and elbow the back of his knee sending him to the floor in pain "illegal strike, that's a warning.....turn and kneel." The ref said as I turn and kneel on the mat. As my father makes his way to me squatting down.

"Haley.....remember the technique I taught you last night?" He asked me as I nodded "yes." I replied "use it." He said as he walked away and we got ready to fight again,as I get into the silver bullet position hawk tries to punch me but I grab his arm and hit him square in the chest knocking the wind out of him.
