Chapter 49-Mending The Broken

Today was going to be another long and hard day of training at miyagi-do as I arrive at the dojo I get out of my car and head inside I see someone I never expected to see here standing inside waiting for me so that we can start training. "Hey you." Robby said as he pulled me into a kiss "hey yourself....what are you doing here." I asked him with curiosity laced in my voice "I thought you could use some extra motivation for today's lesson." Mr Larusso said walking up to us "why.....what's today's lesson?" I asked with a hint of fear in my voice "you are going to be practicing kata.....on this." He replied moving out of the way to reveal a giant round wooden table in the middle of his koi pond "I'm sorry....what." I said with a confused look on my face.

"You are going to use this as your form of finding balance to help you center yourself." He replied smiling at me "you.....want me....to get on that....and practice using kata on that thing." I questioned staring at him with a look of disbelief at what he was asking me to do "that is exactly what he is saying hals." Robby said chuckling at the expression on my face "okay." I replied with a questionable tone in my voice as I got dressed in some old workout clothes I had as I step into the pond and head onto the platform.

"Oh my god.....something just touched my leg!" I screamed in fear "it's just the koi that are in the pond Haley." Mr Larusso replied chuckling at me "wait....your telling me these fish are real." I said in disbelief "yep." Robby replied with a smile as he laughed at me "alright now get on up there." Mr Larusso said as I try to stand up without falling as I make my way to the center of the platform.

"Good, good.....nice baby." Robby said "center yourself Haley.....find your balance." Mr Larusso said "good....that's good....now show me the moves."Robby said "balance good....karate good." Mr Larusso said as I perform the kata perfectly until I got to the kick part then that's when everything went down the drain as I fell straight into the koi pond "this thing isn't even leveled." I replied hitting the platform in frustration "or maybe you have a little imbalance inside of you." Mr Larusso said chuckling "I still don't see me using any of this in a real fight." I replied groaning at the fact that I almost had it down "it's alright babe.....now you get back up and try again." Robby said as I got back up and try it once more.

I continue practicing while also continuing to fall on the process but Mr Larusso said that this is part of the learning process so I continue practicing and practicing until I finally get it right "yes.....yes I did it!" I shout in excitement as Robby and Mr Larusso clapped at my accomplishment "great job Haley." Mr Larusso said "can I get out now....or do I have to stay in here until I turn into a popsicle to find inner peace." I said chuckling "here let me help you out." Robby said sticking his hand out for me to grab so that he can pull me out but I had my own idea in my mind as I take his hand and pull him into the water with me.

"Thanks a lot now I'm all wet." He replied splashing me in the face with water as I giggled "your very welcome." I said splashing him as well "alright that's enough you two.....out." Mr Larusso said as we get out of the water.

After we dry off Robby decides to wait for me by my car "hey.....Mr Larusso." I called making him stop in his tracks "yeah." He said coming up to me as I wrapped my arms around him giving him a tight hug "thank you for helping me.....get passed everything.....with my dad and all.....I-I really appreciate it." I said pulling away to look at him "of course.....you know I'll always be here for you when you need me okay.....anytime." He replied smiling at me giving me a kiss to my forehead.
