Chapter 53-Making Friends

Later on as classes finally came to a stop for the day it is now time for lunch, so as I make my way towards the front stairs I see Isabel and Raegan waiting for me as I walk up to them.

"Hey guys." I said "hey." They both said at the same time "you ready to go?" I asked them as I looked at them "yeah." Isabel said "same...I'm starving." Raegan replied chuckling as we made our way towards the cafeteria.

"So, where are you from Haley?" Izzy asked me "I'm from Reseda but my dad lived in Encino." I said "woah." Raegan mumbled "yeah, but what about you guys?" I asked them "uh...I'm from Virginia." Raegan said "I'm from Florida." Isabel said "wow." I muttered looking up at them.

"So, why did you guys move to Reseda?" I asked them "parents got a new job." Isabel replied "my mom wanted...a new place to experience life in." Raegan said giggling "that's interesting." I muttered "not, eternally all she ever does is drink all day and comes home at night." Raegan replied.

"Damn." Izzy mumbled looking at her with a hint of sadness in her eyes "well, if it makes you feel any better my dad was an abusive asshole." I said looking down at the table "shit Hals." Raegan whispered "yep." I muttered.

"But, you're okay now, right?" Izzy asked me "yeah, yeah I am." I replied smiling at her "he still around?" Rae asked me "uh, no...he-he....he's in prison." I said looking down at the table with tears brimming my eyes
"I'm sorry you had to go through that Haley." Izzy muttered giving my hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Thanks Izzy." I mumbled looking up at her as I smiled.
