16: Unintentional humiliation

Hasine's POV 

"Where's the teacher at?" One of the students asked" late, she's on the other side of the school talking to Yamamoto Soutaicho." I said," oh great, does anyone want to even spar with him?" Hisagi asked," you saw her deck the teacher into the wall a week ago after their 10-minute spar, what makes you think she won't do the same with him?" Izuru asked" one big thing." Hinamori said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Renji asked," you'll find out soon enough." I said when the teacher ran into the room with Yamamoto following close behind" sorry I'm late but he wanted to see how well you guys are doing so far, I had been planning on handing out the asauchis today but it'll have to wait for another day, who wants to step on up and try?" She asked.

Glancing at each other we know it was going to be a humiliation fest for the rest of the class when Renji stood up" I've been training for bits at a time after classes, I can try." He said stepping up to the plate,' cocky much?'  I thought. For the next 30 minutes, the 1st division captain went through everyone with ease before it was my turn" well, you're up." He said, I got up.

"I don't want to humiliate you in front of these guys, but let's go," I said holding up the wooden sword but didn't charge, he did but I blocked all of his blows effortlessly then shot him a side glance, eyes glowing fiercely, his widened when I whipped the cane away turning to face him, he swung low but I hopped on and flipped over swinging at him, he blocked as I landed trying to sweep his feet from under him but he dodged, jabbing.

I dodged them all deflecting the final one" sorry." I said slamming the cane out of his hands and kicking him into the wall"I tried to tell you she's skilled but you didn't listen." The teacher said," I just noticed." He said stumbling over to his came" are you ok?" Hinamori asked.

"I'm fine young one." He said picking up his cane which is hiding his zanpaktou' you called the newly born angels young ones, you haven't changed.' I thought shaking my head a little when he faced me again" let's have a round 2 to teach the kids." He said, I grumbled.

"You're going to end up in the wall again, the next time you're going to be kicked into the room next door needing medical attention," I said looking over to a couple of 3rd years looking in curiously when he charged and swung again, I deflected giving him the footwork, same with me but after a few minutes it was the same result being kicked back into the wall, at this point, the others are feeling pity for him as I threw down the wooden sword.

"I am sorry oh fallen brother of mine but times have changed, I'm not fighting you anymore. I've humiliated you." I said going back to sit down ignoring the shocked looks from Renji, Izuru and Hisagi" what the hell does that mean?" Renji asked softly, Hinamori whispered the answer in his ear and he nearly passed out" we need to talk after classes." He said" sure thing." Hinamori said" same with you Hasine." Renji said," I Honestly don't want to know." Hisagi said.

8 hours later Renji's POV 

Getting behind the barracks me and Izuru whipped around on Hasine" ok, so the head captain of the Gotei 13 is a fallen angel?!" I demanded" not so loudly, we don't need all the attention, yes he is a fallen angel and has been for the last 7000 years.

He just evolved into an archangel and started a one-man party and broke the rule of don't celebrate it and keeping your feelings to yourself and he turned into the monster he saw himself as, a human child at the age of 9, his Holy Majesty gave him a second chance to redeem himself and cast him out down here as you know the rest but he hasn't done anything big to get him back into grace." Hasine explained.

"Right after he evolved into an archangel? I thought you were born an archangel?" Izuru asked" nope, angels evolve, we all start out as trumpet blowers with 7-9 ft wings, we're grounded and are the last ones into battle, the pawns. 

When they prevail they turn into a butterfly angel, they can fly but clumsily, repeat that twice more and then evolve into the riskiest stage, the skull wing angel, they have to suppress their feelings and temptations and then evolve into the archangel, which is what I am." Hasine explained.

"So Yamamoto is a fallen angel and you're an archangel? That's a lot to take in, why are you here?" I asked," in the next 135 years a threat will return even more powerful, fight this alone and you will fall like pathetic weaklings, and creation will fall into eternal darkness, with help from me and a few of my brethren you will prevail, it's a matter of fate." I said.

"Oh great, the end of everything as we know, I won't be sleeping for the next few nights and you made Izuru depressed, and what the hell happens when he gets like this?" I asked," he unloads on the closest person he's friends with, namely Iba or broods." Hinamori said" what are you doing out here? Starting a cult?" The yakuza soul asked, Hasine grumbled and pulled him over.

"You can unload." She said," I think I know the outline, you called Yamamoto Soutaicho fallen brother, meaning he's a fallen angel, I added it up at lunch plus I saw your eyes glowing pure white which no one even does so she's clearly an angel like him but stupidly powerful since I felt the massive reiatsu before you got in, don't worry I'll keep your secret." He said," bingo on all counts she's the cmdr of the divine armies just so you know." Rukia said.

"Should I be calling you almighty cmdr?" Iba asked," no, call me what you have been since classes started." Hasine said," does anyone want to bring up the fact that we're friends with an archangel, the most powerful being in all of Heaven other than the big man himself?" I asked.

"This is 6th-level heaven, there are a lot of weird things that go on down here." Hinamori said," like that one time where a stampede of strippers ran down the streets of the red light district in the 78th district a few years ago?" Rukia asked," that's an image that'll never get out of my head like the courtyard incident." Hasine said" what?" Rukia asked.

"Several of us were hanging out there when one of the angels brought in 3 bottles of booze, we had no idea how he got them up there but guessed he went down to the human world and snatched a few, a guard found him and it wasn't pretty, he beat him to a pulp and locked him up for a month saying never disguise yourself for anything that stupid again, that's why I don't drink, same with everyone else there," Hasine explained.

"Isn't that overkill? I guess he's really devoted to his job." I said," yeah he is, his Holy Majesty had to chide him down and release the poor guy." Hasine said," I guess that's how he turned out after a certain something else." Iba said," yep, he didn't want to fall to Lucifer's level which he nearly did when he was skull wing angel." I said," So 1st level Heaven falls victim to some weirdness once in a while." Rukia said, Hasine nodded.
